Chateau d'Oigny

En Valois

Topped by the pointed hats of its towers and turrets, the Chateau d'Oigny was built in the sixteenth century on the site of an earlier 13th century medieval chateau. The Chateau looks out over its twelve-acre private floral park - until recently open to the public and described as one of France's most beautiful. Set in the peaceful village of Oigny-en-Valois in the heart of the Forest of Retz, and just five kilometres from the former royal town of Villers-Cotterets, the Chateau d'Oigny has witnessed five centuries of French history and remains as tranquil and lovely as ever.
