    This is a converted traditional longere farmhouse of Normandy, now a much loved family holiday home situated on the outskirts of the small town of Gorges (2km), which consists of a small shop & bar, a church and what we consider to be one of the best boulangeries in the area. We have conducted a rather thorough survey of the pain au chocolat in the region and have not found another boulangerie which makes them with such tastiness and consistency. Mmmm.

    Both town and house are surrounded by the spacious fields of the protected marshlands of the Marais du Cotentin, ideal for walking, cycling and birdwatching. The east and west coastlines of the Normandy peninsula can be reached within 20-30 minutes, both of which have wonderful expansive beaches, providing the local fishermen an ideal environment for farming oysters and mussels. Therefore the local seafood is exceptional.

    The farmhouse provides a good sized kitchen, with dishwasher and adjacent bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. The lounge/dining room area has a large open fire and dining table that seats 8. Upstairs we have 1 large double bedroom with an enormous double bed, 1 bedroom with 1 small double bed and a room with 2 single beds. The bathroom upstairs has a shower, toilet, a washing machine and an additional entrance connecting to the larger bedroom. If required, a cot and high chair are available.

    The grounds of the house consist of a large garden with parking for 2 vehicles in front of the house, with an additional parking area a little further away. Bordering 2 sides of the garden are approximately 2 acres of fields which belong to the property.
