Here is where we start moving things.  Remember the cut/paste method?  Here is where you will use it.  We will need to start in Site Manger....and begin editing the Home page.

You should have open this page to read through the instructions and your FreeWebs Site Manager to start the cut/paste process.  Right??

Add paragraph:

Highlight the title of the first paragraph:  ~Downline Builder Club~

Paste it into the title of the paragraph.

Next, add the banner you see by clicking on the insert image icon in the tool bar.  Select the banner you plan to use.  Either  cad-dbc-1.gif or cad-dbc-2.gif and center the graphic at the top of of the page after you removing the text type your body here.

Next, highlight the entire text of the first paragraph and paste it into the body of the paragraph you are creating.  Everything look normal, click done at the top of the paragraph editor.

You will need to make this change:

Send Confirmation E-mails - this link will send email to me.  We want the email to go to your selected email address.  Remove that link from paragraph 1.  Now lets create a link that will automatically send the confirmations to your email.

Click on the icon in the tool bar that creates custom HTML.  It will look like this:  <   >

A box will popup for you to add the code below:

<a href="mailto:youremailaddress">Send Confirmation E-mails</a>

(make sure to leave a space between a and href or the link will not work properly)

hit the submit button

Center the link in the appropriate place and if you want to change the color of the text to red, click on the icon in the tool bar that changes text color "A".  Keep in mind that when you are viewing text in the paragraph editor it appears to be black.  But when you view it on your website, the text will be in white.  You may run into some trouble if you change the text color to black or blue, so leave the majority of the text alone.  Just change it to red when needed.

We will continue the process of copying paragraphs one at a time.

No changes are needed for the next paragraph. 

In this paragraph you will need to make many changes.

First, if you decide to run a Pick of the Week you will need to devise you very own promotion.  You can refer to the promotion we advertise each week to get an idea of what you need to do.  Also, you can just eliminate it all together and add it back on once you are ready to decide what program you want to promote.

For now, just delete it.

Next, you must makes changes to the URLS you see in the List of Programs. You should remove all of the programs that you have copied from our website.  You pasted them into the paragraph editor so that you can have an idea of how they are done. 

You can add your personal URLS in a variety of ways but I would suggest including a few spaces after the name of each program so that you can continue to change the number of referrals you are getting from each program.  Helps you to remember and it helps the visitor to your site to see which programs people are joining.

Find the referral URLS to the programs you have joined in the past and from the Downline Builder Club.  This will be different for each program you have joined.  Some assign you a number, some will use your email address and some will let you choose a user name as part of your referral URL.  When you are ready to start adding your URLS click on the " insert custom HTML" icon.

In the box, type in:

<a  href="cut/paste your referral URL" target=window>TheNameOfTheProgram</a>

Hit the submit button -

Continue this for each program you have joined.  You can put them in any order, highlight your favorites in red or bold type....whatever you choose to do.  You can highlight the URL and put it where you want it on the page.  Add as many programs as you wish.

The next two paragraphs (concerning programs we are promoting) can be removed.  Or if you like promote a couple programs of your own.

I would suggest joining both PayPal and StormPay.

If you do, you may change the URLs to your own referral URLs by the same method as you did in the programs section.  If you choose not to join either one, you may just leave everything the way it is.  Any new members who join from your website will be the Downline Builder Club downline.

Same with the SubmitPlus and the AddMe links.

Again, I would suggest joining this as one of our affiliates.  But if you choose not to join, just leave it as is on the website for the Downline Builder Club. Any searches will help support the costs of maintaining our website.

Hopefully, you have just created a one-page website with all the information to bring new members into the downlines of the program you have joined.  Spend an extra few minutes making sure all the links work and that all the referral URLs are correct.

You are ready to start promoting your website!!

When a new member joins one of the programs from your downline, do everything you can to verify that person signed up in your downline using your links.  People will try to scam you...and people something don't understand simple instructions.  You do not want to give your future referrals to someone who signed up somewhere else.  Most people are honest when participating in a downline builder club, but save yourself the work by always checking first.

Once that is verified, you will need to go in and change your referral URL for the program to their referral URL.  This is a good time to add the number (1) after the name of the program so you can track incoming referrals easier.  Also write down the name of the person who joined in your notebook so that you will remember this information days or weeks later.  I always follow up with a thank you for joining, letting them know that their URL has been added to the website and after you get a few referrals going, I try to send a email or a forward to the members who have earned referrals in their downline.  It just proves to them that the Downline Builder Club works!!
