Personality: He's a friendly person as long as you stay out of his way. He usually doesn‘t like to fight unless he‘s forced to. If he can talk his way out of it, then he will. He's always willing to help people, though.
Fighting style: Fighting style:
His fighting style is situational. He usually doesn’t make the first move, unless he wants to provoke the enemy into attacking him. He’s quite strategic and, depending on the opponent, breaks down the opponent’s fighting style and comes up with the perfect strategy within the first few minutes of the fight.
Zixan uses his element a lot in his battles. In his early years with the Exiled, he always concealed himself within a dense fog and attacked the blinded opponent. As he grew older and wiser he barely used it. He’s quite adept at making clones of himself and his favorite animals, snakes. He’s uses the clones throughout his battles to either buy time or just to kill the enemy altogether without having to lift a finger. He’s never in the same place for too long. What may be the real Zixan one minute could be a clone the next. This is all do to his ability to teleport in-between his clones and other objects made of vapor.
His ax is also unique. There’s a special lock placed on the end of it to suppress it’s true power. Once Zixan unlocks it, its attacks become stronger and the blade begins to glow. Zixan only uses that in emergencies though because it’s hard for him to control.
Zixan’s elemental attacks come in three different levels of power, listed from weakest to strongest.
Cirrus: This is his weakest form of cloud. He uses these against fodder enemies, i.e. Heartless, lesser Nobodies, other things of the like. He also uses these as his spying clouds, which spy from the sky, or spying fogs, spy on the ground. These clouds are characterized by a white and thin appearance.
Stratus: This level of his element can usually take care of all of his problems, including boss enemies. His clones are made from this level of cloud These clouds are light gray in appearance.
Cumulonimbus: This is his most powerful level of cloud. Zixan uses these clouds to make his advanced clones. The cumulonimbus clouds are used on those stubborn enemies that don't know when to quit or those impossibly hard to defeat opponents. These clouds are dark gray.
Attacks & Abilities:
Spying Fog: This is used for spying purposes. He usually makes it very thin so that people can’t notice it. He usually keeps a thin layer of fog around the Exiled Headquarters so that he always knows what’s going on. This is a cirrus-level technique.
Cloud Snake: This is basically a snake made of cloud. They are most commonly summoned with Stratus-level clouds. If the situation calls for it, then he’ll summoned them with cumulonimbus-level clouds.
Cloud Clone: These clones can look exactly like anyone Zixan sees and can usually take on lesser enemies. They don’t last long in battle against stronger opponents. They can’t use Zixan’s element on their own. These are made with Stratus-level clouds.
Advanced Cloud Clone: These clones are stronger than his regular cloud clones. These have full control over the original Zixan’s element and are more durable in battle. These are made from cumulonimbus level clouds.
Phantom Cyclone: Zixan performs this attack in two different ways with two different levels of power. The first being that he makes the sky cloudy and the cyclones just come from the clouds above. This form of Phantom Cyclone is used with cumulonimbus level clouds. The second, weaker version is made from stratus-level clouds. Zixan surrounds his opponent with a dense fog and then makes the fog spin around the opponent faster and faster, cutting away the opponents skin.
Phantom Execution: Zixan, himself, turns into a cloud and forcibly enters the opponents body through any opening (I.e. mouth, nose, pores, etc.). Once he’s in the opponent’s body, he turns the clouds into sharp spikes of varying sizes which proceed to jut out of the opponent’s body in random places. This is a cumulonimbus-level attack and usually a one-hit kill.
Phantom Detonation: This is your basic explosion technique. He gathers and bunch of clouds and makes them go boom. He usually uses this technique in conjunction with a Cloud Snake. Basically the cloud snake constricts and restrains the enemy and then explodes. The level of this technique varies from cirrus to cumulonimbus, depending on the situation.
Phantom Thunder: Unlike his other attacks, Phantom Thunder is launched exclusively from the sky. The dark clouds in the sky form cannons that vary in number. On Zixan’s command, they begin firing cannonballs towards the ground.
Endless Raid: Zixan summons two axes and throws them at the opponent, then another pair of axes appear and he throws those. This patterns continues until Zixan stops it.
Phantom Ceremony: This is Zixan’s most powerful technique. Zixan still hasn’t learned how to fully control this technique, so he uses it sparingly. As he go to the next stage of the attack, he receives more and more damage, not as much as the opponent, however. This attack is a cumulonimbus-level technique which has three stages to it.
When Zixan starts the attack, he summons replicas of his own axe to surround him and his opponent in a giant circle. While he’s holding his real axe another replica forms in his empty hand. He then attacks using both axes, but what the opponent doesn’t know is that the real Zixan is just a distraction. While the real Zixan’s attacking, the replica axes that are surrounding him are constantly disappearing and reappearing. Meanwhile, the opponent is being covered with small cuts all over his body. This is due to the fact that Zixan is moving his advanced clones at high speeds, attacking with the replicas axes in the opponent’s blind spots.
The second stage of the attacks is initiated if the first level doesn’t finish the opponent. In this stage of the attack, the circle of replicas grow into a dome of replicas. This stage of the attack is even faster than the first and the replicas are disappearing and reappearing even faster now. The mysterious cuts on the opponent are getting deeper and more severe. Zixan continues to act as the decoy while the clones do their work.
The third stage is initiated when the second stage doesn’t finish the enemy. The dome of replica axes is still present, but only slightly larger in this stage and the only major difference is that the high speed Zixan clones are attacking harder and faster. Now, when their attacks connect with the opponent, a small explosion occurs, which injures the opponent even more. The attack ends with Zixan slashing the opponent down the middle while the dome of replicas fade away.
Quote: "This won’t take long."
Nobody Name: Detector
Nobody Description: They sneak up on their victims and assault them from behind. They also act as spies for Zixan.
Element: Vapor
Element Description: Zixan mainly uses his element for spying. He'll also commonly refer to it as fog rather than vapor. When he does spread his "fog" it becomes an extension of his own five senses. Other abilities include being able to make lifelike clones of anything from snakes to human to objects. He can also teleport within his cloud, or to other clouds in the sky.
Background: Chapter Nine: Slave No More Illustration
The crack of the whip shot throughout the deserted farmland. A second crack followed shortly after. I fell to the ground, crying, hands stained with blood. “Get back to work, Zain!” demanded Agatha, my aunt. “I’m too tired, aunt Aggie. I’m only eight years old!” The whip tore into my back once again. My cries went without aid. Five more lashes came down before the hag spoke again. “Are you ready to work now, sweetie?”, she asked in a mockingly sweet manner. I nodded my head slowly, tears streaming down my red cheeks. “I want this corn harvested by 7 o’clock. That gives you four hours, so get to work.” Once again, I nodded my head. “Yes ma’am.” She walked into the house, feeling most dignified.
For nine years, this was how I lived my life. I would wake up at 4 a.m. and clean the house. A small task, since I do it every day, there’s little to clean. I was to have the house spotless and breakfast prepared by 8 o’clock. I was given the solemn privilege of sitting down and eating with my aunt everyday. Directly following breakfast, the dishes were to be cleaned. By 9 o’clock, I had to go out to the fields and work until aunt Aggie was satisfied, which was usually around 7 o’clock. Around 2 p.m., I had to stop my fieldwork and prepare lunch. I, however, did not get to eat. I was to return to the field until dinnertime. I had to wash up, and have dinner ready by 8 o’clock. I’m allowed to eat with aunt Aggie at this time, as well. Again, I would clean the dishes after the meal. For the rest of night, she made me go to the forest about half a mile north and collect firewood . I wasn’t allowed to stockpile, so it was a nightly duty. I would eventually get to bed around 1 a.m. Three hours later, the process would repeat.
During the day, I would occasionally slack off, and find a place where I would be hidden from my aunt’s view. The only enjoyment that I received was from looking at the clouds and playing with the small snakes in the tall grass. I dreamed of being free, like they were. I wanted to be able to drift away from my troubled life. I wanted to shed my skin and start anew. Looking at the clouds often brought me to tears, because of the thoughts that I drew from them. I knew that I would never be able to attain freedom as long as my aunt was in charge. Oh how I wished I could get away from that witch of an aunt. Oh how I wished that I could be free from this hell.
Nine years later, that dream was no longer fantasy. It was my seventeenth year as this woman’s slave. Everything was going as it always had. I was in the process of serving aunt Aggie her lunch when, suddenly, I froze. “What the hell’s wrong with you, boy? Give me my food!” There was nothing wrong with me. I had just had a life changing realization. After all those years of working in the fields and carrying wood every single day for hours on end, I had become the pinnacle of physical fitness. While this woman had only grown older and fatter, I had grown stronger. I had no reason to take this woman’s oppression any longer. It used to be out of fear of the whip, but.... “No.” “What did you just, say?”, she asked, bewildered. I slowly turned my head, and looked her in the eyes. “I said ‘no.’” She reached for her whip, which always rested at her side. I dropped the plate on the ground. Before I knew what was happening, I found my hands wrapped around her fat, sweaty neck. I felt all the hatred I bore towards this woman build up faster and faster, and my grip grew tighter. Her face began to turn red, as she frantically tried to pull me off. But I couldn’t let go. I didn’t want to let go. My thumbs dug deep into the center of her throat, and she began to gag. At the same time, I could feel a darkness take me over. But I didn’t care. I was reveling in the thrill of breaking free from my shackles. Just as aunt Aggie’s arms dropped, and her breathing stopped, my heart stopped as well. I was consumed by the darkness, and fell into a black abyss.
Following a blinding light, I awoke anew. I was a free being. A non-existent being, but non-existent life is better than a life of slavery. No longer the shackled rock, Zain, I am the free floating cloud, Zixan.
