Alyssa Milano Gets Married!

With nature and family as themes, actress Alyssa Milano wed Hollywood agent David Bugliari at his family's estate in New Jersey on Saturday, her rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

Milano, wearing a custom gown by Vera Wang and holding a bouquet of lily of the valley flowers, walked down an aisle strewn with cream-colored rose petals and natural grass to the tune of John Lennon's "Imagine."

The couple exchanged traditional vows under a wrought-iron gazebo decorated with willow, calla lilies and roses. Among the guests was actor Bradley Cooper, a friend of the groom.

"We wanted a wedding that was reflective of who we are as a couple" says Milano, who calls meeting her husband in 2006 "a lovely gift."

Following the ceremony, wooden signs directed guests to the cocktail area, decorated with rattan furniture and hay bales serving as cocktail tables.

Dinner was served family style on rustic farmhouse tables in a tent with wood flooring and wrought iron chandeliers. Event planner Colin Cowie created just the right atmosphere for the family-oriented couple.

"My Italian family still eats Sunday dinner together every week," says Milano. "We wanted to capture the same feeling with people passing around beautiful bowls of food and talking and laughing."

Bugliari, an agent at the Creative Artists Agency, "proposed to Milano, 36, last December with a ring he designed and made by Jim Lavi at Daniel Jewelry in La Jolla, Calif.

Milano has most recently been in seen in NBC's comedy My Name Is Earl in a recurring role.

Options open for four pilots

Midseason hopes remain for ABC, CBS projects

A month and a half after the end of the 2008-09 broadcast development season, four pilots -- ABC's "Romantically Challenged," "This Little Piggy" and "Solving Charlie" and CBS' "House Rules" -- remain in midseason contention after their cast options have been extended.

The actors on all broadcast pilots are tied to projects until June 30, when they're released and free to book other jobs. The networks and studios have until then to decide whether they want to keep any of their pilots alive by paying the actors to continue to be attached to them.

This year, the multicamera comedies "Challenged" and "Piggy" and the dramas "Charlie" (formerly the untitled Daniel Cerone) and "Rules" and made the cut, with the options of some but not all cast members extended.

"Challenged" hails from WBTV; the three others are produced by ABC Studios.

"Challenged," about a thirtysomething man torn between his new girlfriend and needy best friend, was a serious contender for a berth on ABC's fall schedule, mainly on the appeal of female lead Alyssa Milano.

The options for three regulars in the pilot -- Milano, who plays the girlfriend; Kyle Bornheimer, the best friend; and Kelly Stables, Milano's younger sister -- have been extended.

On "Piggy," only the options of Andrea Parker and Rebecca Creskoff have been extended.

The project revolves around two adult siblings (one played by Creskoff) who are forced to move in with their eldest brother and his wife (Parker) after falling on hard times.

On "Rules," which follows the freshman class of Congress as they begin their careers in Washington, most of the cast is staying on, including star Zoe McLellan, Eion Bailey, Kristin Bauer, Tawny Cypress, Anna Chlumsky and Denzel Whitaker.

Also almost intact is the cast of "Charlie," about a low-level detective (Jimmy Wolk) who gets help from his genius 11-year-old brother (Dakota Goyo).

Wolk and Goyo are still on, as are Brad Henke and Dania Ramirez.

TUESDAY, JUNE 30 2009 -

ROSE TO BE IN NIPTUCK

FX has set a slate of fall premieres for both original programming and big movie acquisitions, highlighted by the return of Nip/Tuck in October, which had not been expected to come back until early 2010.

Season six of Nip/Tuck, which stars Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon as Los Angeles plastic surgeons, will mark the second-to-last season of the series. The seventh and final season is expected to kick off some time next year, with the series concluding by early 2011. The show�s sixth season this fall comprises 10 new episodes. Guest stars in season six will include Vanessa Redgrave, Rose McGowan, Mario Lopez, Barry Bostwick and Gilles Marini.

Delivered by emergency c-section at 35 weeks, �we didn�t feel comfortable making any announcements until everyone was home healthy,� Holly, 35, tells CBB. �We are and now it is time to celebrate. I, now a mother of three boys, will be going to take a nap!�

Kelley joins big brothers Riley Edward, 2 �, and Finley Arthur, 5, Holly�s children with husband David Donoho.

NEW YORK -- Alyssa Milano will weave a spell on the big screen.

The former "Charmed" star has signed on to star in and produce "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend," a romantic comedy in which she plays a woman with a relationship dilemma.

Beau Bridges, Michael Landes, Christopher Gorham and Carol Kane round out the rom-com's cast.

Milano will play an outgoing woman who meets two seemingly ideal men in quick succession -- a struggling novelist (Gorham) and successful ad exec (Landes) -- and must decide between them. Daryn Tufts will direct from his own script.

The CAA-repped Milano will produce via her Peace by Peace Prods. shingle, which is aiming to ramp up feature development and production.

Fiftyfilms' Rick McFarland will also produce, and Joseph Pia and Nate Jones will exec produce.

CAA packaged the indie, which is set to begin shooting this summer.

Milano produced her hit television show "Charmed," but "Boyfriend" marks one of her first feature projects as a producer. The star also recently had a recurring role on NBC's "My Name Is Earl" as well as the buzz ABC pilot "Romantically Challenged."

Gorham stars in CBS limited series "Harper's Island," and Landes next stars in Sarah Michelle Gellar-toplined supernatural tale "Possession." Both are repped by CAA.

ROSE MCGOWAN TO STAR IN THE BELL JAR

Rose McGowan To Star In The Bell Jar!

At the Burberry event Rose revealed some exciting news exclusively to JustJared.com that she�s starring in the new adaptation of Sylvia Plath�s The Bell Jar!

�My character�s name is Doreen. She�s kind of a 50�s magazine girl from New York, it�s really fun. We�re shooting in South Africa most likely. I�ve never been there, so I�m really excited.�

Plum Pictures announced planned for a new Hollywood version of the novel to be written by playwright and screenwriter Tristine Skyler back in early 2007 with Julia Stiles to star as the novel�s protagonist, Esther Greenwood. At the time the movie is listed as �in development�. No word if this will be the same script but it�s presumed.

The Bell Jar begins in New York, after winning a Ladies� Day contest. Her mental state gradually deteriorates over the summer. During a night out with Doreen, Esther creates her identity as �Elly Higginbottom�, which she refers to again later in the book. At a meeting with Jay Cee, she realizes that she has no plans, only �I don�t know�. At the end of the summer, she stands on the roof of the Amazon hotel, and, piece by piece, scatters her clothes to the wind. When she returns home, she finds that she was not accepted into a writing course, and dreads an entire summer at home, with nothing to do. The days blur into one another, and Esther eventually visits Doctor Gordon, who prescribes shock treatments. Esther begins reading �scandal sheets,� and analyzes each one of the suicide attempts pictured. She �practices� killing herself, then attempts to overdose on her sleeping pills. Her life is saved, however, and she eventually is sent to a mental hospital, Caplan. An old friend of Esther�s, Joan, arrives at Caplan, also after an attempted suicide. Esther moves to a less restrictive hospital, Belsize, although she feels that she is not well enough. Her new doctor, Doctor Nolan gives her shock treatments, and this time they seem to work, lifting the bell jar, at least temporarily. Esther�s life fluctuates up and down, from then, but the book ends on a hopeful note, as she enters for her conference with the Belsize doctors.

"90210" bad girl Shannen Doherty is back -- and she's dishing to "Extra" about everything from "Dancing with the Stars" to Simon Cowell!

When asked if she'd ever strap on her dancing shoes to boogie on "DWTS" Shannen replied, "No, I would never consider it because I'm not a fan of live audiences and being judged!"

Doherty is, however, a fan of British bad boys Simon Cowell and Gordon Ramsay, who Shannen spotted at dinner one night! "I walked by... I was waiting for Simon to shout out something like, 'I don't like the look.'" Shannen added, laughing, "Simon, you're just rude, beyond rude, and I still like you!"

Shannen returns to "90210" tonight on the CW.

Alyssa Milano and Finace Throw Engagement Party, the details

It has been reported that Alyssa Milano and her fiance David Bugliari have thrown an engagement party over the weekend, which was attended by 150 people.

Having her engagement to boyfriend David Bugliari confirmed in early January this year, it wasn't until recently that Alyssa Milano threw an engagement party for her friends to attend. As reported by Marc Malkin of E! News, the actress and her fiance hosted a feast at a private home just outside of Los Angeles on Saturday night, May 2.

There were 150 people attending the affair, including the likes of Milo Ventimiglia and Jon Heder. The guests were treated to grilled salmon and rosemary chicken breast along with specialty Corzo tequila cocktails. They were served with a frozen yogurt bar and red velvet cupcakes for the dessert.

And while the party was going on, a DJ provided the music for dancing, E! News has reported.

Alyssa Milano was engaged to David Bugliari, who works as a talent agent at the Creative Arts Agency, on December 18, 2008. He proposed to her with a ring he designed that was made by Jim Lavi at Daniel Jewelry in La Jolla.

Before getting engaged to David, Alyssa was married to Cinjun Tate, the lead singer of band Remy Zero. Following their divorce in November 1999, she was romantically linked to a number of men, like Justin Timberlake and Fred Durst just to name a few.

I received it in an email from someone claiming this is another picture from the set of Mistresses, but I do know know for sure. I do not believe I have seen it before, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Please please email me at charmeddestinys@yahoo.com if you have any information regarding the picture at all.

I emailed the person back asking where this picture came from, but have not gotten a response as of now. I will definitely update you if I do.

I just started a thread on the Charmed Destinys forum regarding the picture, so a discussion will begin there. Click here to view the thread.

Again, please update me if you find out anything regarding this picture! I'd really like to know if it's real or not.

ROSE MCGOWAN - TERMINATOR SALVATION GAME INTRO

The intro cinema for the upcoming Terminator Salvation video game has been released. The action-packed, third-person shooter will be released in conjunction with the highly anticipated film, which opens nationwide on May 21, 2009.

Based on the movie, the game offers players the chance to assume the role of John Connor, a soldier in the resistance, battling for survival against the far superior forces of Skynet. The game features concentrated armed combat against all of the Skynet enemies from the film while encountering new enemies specifically designed for the game.

Rose McGowan will be voicing Angie Salter, an ex-high school teacher in the video game. Although the character Rose is voicing makes no appearance in the film she is a key person in the video game, her character arc having a profound effect on John Connor (Christian Bale).

What does it take for a bro to become a man? When an underachiever meets the girl of his dreams, he's going to have to figure out how to man up, keep the girl, all without losing his best bro. Shawn hasn't quite got his life all figured out. An aspiring writer and reluctant telemarketer, he's been living with his friend Perry in the hope that it will allow him to write the great American novel. This works out well for Perry, who's been feeling a little clingy since his ex dumped him over a year ago. But when Shawn meets Rebecca, his laid-back lifestyle is about to get a real shake-up. Rebecca is everything Shawn has been looking for. She's beautiful, successful, and totally gets his wry sense of humor. She's also got a few things he wasn't looking for like an ex-husband and two kids. Normally this would be the kiss of death for a commitment-phobic, responsibility-avoiding, underachiever, but Shawn thinks he might just be ready for a woman like Rebecca, insta-family and all. I just met her again tonight at an autograph signing for her new book "Safe at Home: The Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic", in Ridgewood, NJ.

She looks gorgeous as always and it was amazing to see her. I'm not going to lie, I was definitely a bit star struck.

Today I came across a variety of Alyssa updates.

First off, her most recent MLBlog announced that she got a Twitter Account (http://www.twitter.com/Alyssa_Milano). If you go to her Twitter account, she says that she filmed the pilot, and it went really well. Hopefully it gets picked up!

Also, Alyssa was on 710 ESPN Radio. You can listen to the interview by clicking here.

Alyssa is scheduled to appear on The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet on April 1st.

Lastly, Alyssa will also be attending the "Los Angeles Times Festival of Books" on April 25 at 1 p.m. on the UCLA campus, at the Festival's L.A. Times stage. The interview is scheduled to last approximately 30-35 minutes, followed by five minutes of audience questions and then a book signing.

HOLLY RUMORED TO BE ON DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES!

Holly Marie Combs is rumored to be appearing on Desperate Housewives for two episodes (5x18 - A Spark To Pierce the Dark, and 5x19 - Look Into Their Eyes and You See What They Know). Luckily we won't have to wait long to find out if this is true since episode 5x18 airs on Sunday, March 22. I watch Desperate Housewives every week, so I will update this post either stating the rumor is true, or false tomorrow night.

But according to some sources (which are not necessarily reliable), it was announced on February 26, 2009 that Holly Marie Combs would feature on the 18th and 19th episode of the 5th season of the ABC hit show Desperate Housewives as Marley Winters.

Hopefully it is true! Although it has not be confirmed, I have found that many Desperate Housewives fansites have posted up her appearance. Only time will tell.

This is officially just a rumor. Holly Marie Combs did not make an appearance on Desperate Housewives tonight.

Hello! Hello!

I am hoping third times a charm! I just signed on to do another pilot for ABC. It is a comedy written by Ricky Blitt (Family Guy). The tentative title is �Threesome�. It is also being called �The Untitled Ricky Blitt Pilot�. The pilot stars Eric Christian Olsen, who can be found as his party going alter ego, �Perry Hilton�, on Funny Or Die here: (http://www.funnyordie.com/perry_hilton)

How funny is that guy? I�m looking forward to working with him. Eric plays a guy who hasn�t really grown up yet, who finds himself torn between the new love of his life and his best friend. I am playing Rebecca, who is the new love of his life.

Here is the kicker and why I�m particularly excited about this pilot� Most of the comedy scripts that I�ve read, the female leads are kind of the �straight men�; meaning that the chaos ensues around the female roles and the funny is left to the other, supporting, characters. This isn�t a bad thing. It�s just obviously not as much fun as being an active participant in the comedy. Well, much to Mr. Blitt�s credit, he has written the female character as funny as the male leads. Rebecca has a comedic voice in the script that goes toe to toe with the guys. AND� the script has a lot of heart, which as you all know is important to me.

Can you tell that I am excited? I�m excited. I�m not ecstatic about going through the whole pilot process again. It is stressful and somewhat scary. But I am happy to be going through it with such a special script and am flattered that ABC continues to give me opportunities to get a show on the air. It really is like lightening in a bottle. So many elements have to work for the execution to live up to the potential. The chemistry has to be there. The audience has to want to see how things unfold. The audience has to invest something in the characters.

Keep your fingers crossed for me and I will give you updates whenever I get a chance.

I apologize for not writing in a long time. So many exciting things have happened since my last post. Most importantly, my lovely David proposed and I have been basking in engagement bliss. Needless to say, we are over the moon.

I also wanted to share some other news. I have spent the last year writing a book, and after lots of research, revisions, self-doubt, neuroses, drafts, and anxiety attacks it is finally finished! It will be released March 24 and I couldn't be happier. Or more terrified. I am happy for all the obvious reasons and terrified for all the really, really obvious reasons.

The book is called Safe At Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic. When I initially began plotting out the book in my head, my intention simply was to write about baseball from a woman's perspective. But once I actually sat down and started writing, it became much more of a personal experience. Throughout the book, I use baseball as a mirror to my life, experiences, and memories, dating back to my childhood. The result is part memoir and part philosophical love letter to the sport that found me when I needed it most.

And... Joe Torre wrote the forward which makes me prouder than you could ever friggin' imagine. I'm so not worthy, but so damn appreciative.

I'm very sad to announce the Lifetime has decided not to go forward with "Mistresses" (the show Holly was set to star in). Apparently Lifetime was down to three shows, and "Mistresses" was one of the two that got dropped. This news comes from "Hollywoodreporter.com" which is a reliable source. The article focuses on the show that got picked up ("Drop Dead Diva"), but there is a note at the end about "Mistresses". Here is the article:

Lifetime has picked up comedic drama "Drop Dead Diva" to series.

The network has ordered 12 episodes of the show starring Brooke Elliott for a summer premiere.

Created by Josh Berman and produced by Sony Pictures TV, "Drop Dead Diva" centers on a beautiful-but-vapid model wannabe who, after dying in a car accident, is reincarnated in the body of Jane Bingum (Elliott), a brilliant, thoughtful and overweight attorney.

They were hanging out together that day, how sweet :).

I was very forunate to have the opportunity to go to another one of Alyssa Milano's autograph signings. I have a bit of a story to tell, but before I do I would like to share the pictures that I was able to take of her. Some are good quality, while others are not as good. I have broken them up into groups of high, and low quality. Although the quality of some of the images aren't amazing, there are some great low quality shots of Alyssa during the signing. Here are two last images that I took after the signing. She went into another room where she was interviewed. I was only able to get 2 low quality shots because she was very far away & many people were standing in front of her, but I'll show them to you anyways.

Now here is my story. When I found out about the autograph signing, I misunderstood something. I thought that it was at Yankee Stadium. So I bought tickets to the Yankee All-Star Game, and then found out shortly before the 3:00 signing that Alyssa was not actually at Yankee Stadium. Instead she was at the All-Star Fanfest (not game). So I went to the Jacob Javits Center, and bought a ticket for the Fanfest. I finally found where Alyssa was (shortly after the signing started).

The line was huge. I got on it, and then around 40 minutes later, they cut the line off 1 person ahead of me. So that was very disappointing (I was not able to get Alyssa's autograph).

Pictures were allowed to be taken though. I was able to get a very good spot, and take a lot of pictures (it was difficult because of the large crowd though).

Alyssa told us that she was coming to the MLB All Star Game 2008 in New York in her interview to 950ESPM. But contrary to last year, she won't attend the Celebrity Softball Game or the Taco Bell All-Star Legends Game. But she could attend the MLB All Star Sunday the 13th as a guest star.

The program given by MLB.com informs us that she should be at the Gatorade All-Star Dugout as a Special Guest Signing between 3pm and 4pm.

The festivities began Friday, they continue until Tuesday 15, the day of the big game. I don't know if we will see Alyssa during this event. We will see!

HOLLY TO BE IN A NEW TV SHOW!

We may be seeing Holly back on TV soon! Supposedly she is filming a new Lifetime Pilot called Mistresses. Here is the article on it:

Holly Marie Combs, Brooke Burns and Rochelle Aytes have signed on to star in Lifetime's drama pilot "Mistresses."

Additionally, Michael Weaver and Mary Birdsong have joined HBO's half-hour pilot "Suburban Shootout," directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

Based on the BBC series, "Mistresses," from Fox 21, revolves around a quartet of thirtysomething women who have been friends since college.

Combs ("Charmed") will play Jane, who gave up her career to be a stay-at-home mom. Burns ("Miss Guided") will play Shannon, an outspoken and sharp attorney. Aytes ("Drive") will play Ava, a bright and spunky soap star.

Combs is repped by Gersh and Precision Entertainment. Aytes is repped by Innovative and attorney Jeff Endlich.

"Suburban," which also is based on a British series, is a dark comedy about Rebecca (Judy Greer) who escapes the city for suburban bliss only to find herself caught between two rival gangs of homicidal housewives as they vie for control of their idyllic town.

Weaver ("Notes From the Underbelly") will play Rebecca's husband and new chief of police of the suburban town. He is repped by the Kohner Agency.

Birdsong ("Reno 911!") will play a member of one of the gangs. She is repped by UTA and manager Stacey Abrams.

Rose McGowan and Robert Rodriguez are still together -- professionally and personally, sources tell PEOPLE.

The actress is starring in three of her finace's upcoming projects -- Barbarella, Red Sonja and Woman in Chains! -- despite reports to the contrary, according to her rep.

"The production of all three films is moving forward with Rose to star," the rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

As for claims that the couple have called off their engagement, a source close to McGowan says, "She and Robert are fine."

McGowan, 34, and Rodriguez, 40, annouced their engagement in October 2007.

Best known for her bewitched role in Charmed, McGowan met her leading man in 2006, when he directed her in the Plant Terror portion of the Grindhouse double feature.

If you're a fan of the O.G. Peach Pit posse, you might want to sit down, 'cause sources connected to the CW's new 90210 are spilling exclusive dish of OMG proportions.

In a nutshell: Shannen Doherty is in, Tori Spelling is out and Jennie Garth may be�wait for it�reuniting with Shannen on the screen.

(We'll pause while you find a paper sack to breathe into. Especially if your name happens to be Jennie Garth.)

A very reliable and very inside source who works on 90210 tells me exclusively that, "It is happening with Shannen. It's just a question of how long she'll shoot, whether it will be one day or ten, and what the storyline will be, but we are working on it and it is a very real thing."

Inside sources also confirm exclusively that Tori will not be able to appear in the season premiere for personal reasons. The new mom (she gave birth to a baby girl June 9) had been signed on to do "a few" episodes at the beginning of the season, but now that won't be happening.

As for Shannen's storyline, I'm told the details are still in the initial-concept stages, but the writers are hoping to get Shannen and Jennie together, onscreen, for a scene. Can you imagine?

Of course, the real question is, will they do it? "I don't think there's any love lost between Shannen and Jennie," says one rock-solid inside source. "But they are both adults now and professionals, and I don't see it being an issue. Everyone has their take on what happened back in the day, and I think the feeling is that it's time to move on. They were 19 and 20 when all of that happened and a lot has changed. And, you know, they're not moving in together, just shooting together for an hour and a half."

Another insider close to the negotiations points out: "I want to stress that Shannen has been very, very cool through this whole process. We have seen nothing like the behavior for which she was once famous for."

Awww...Who doesn't love a redemption story, right? As long as there are two red dresses in the dressing room, all should be right with the world, the ratings should go through the roof, and we 9-0 fans can start freaking out about how lip-smackingly juicy this remake just might turn out to be.

Actress ROSE McGOWAN has reportedly split with fiance ROBERT RODRIGUEZ - because of financial difficulties on forthcoming film BARBARELLA.

The Grindhouse star was set to take the lead in a remake of the 1968 cult classic, with Rodriguez directing the movie.

But the couple have now allegedly split following disagreements over the film's money problems.

McGowan apparently wasn't a big enough box office draw for the $70 million (GBP35 million) remake, after her 2007 film Grindhouse only grossed $25.4 million (GBP12.7 million).

A source tells the New York Post's gossip column PageSix, "Too bad Grindhouse didn't gross $100 million (GBP50 million). Then, maybe, Barbarella would have gotten the green light.

"Instead, the moguls were saying, 'We need a bigger star, a bigger name.'"

The project was reportedly set to be axed by Universal Studios in October (07), because of Rodriguez's decision to cast girlfriend McGowan in the lead role.

The screen beauty fell for the filmmaker on the set of Planet Terror, one half of the double bill Grindhouse, and the couple went public with their relationship in May that year - shortly after Rodriguez filed for divorce from his wife of 16 years, Elizabeth Avellan.

ROSE TO BE IN RED SONJA

Rose has a new role in the movie "Red Sonja"! Here is an article about it:

Amazing news, people! According to the very reliable source USA Today, Rose McGowan has a major new role! She will be directed by Robert Rodriguez in Red Sonja. Rose will start intense training before filming begins in October. Read on for further details on the project!

The Grindhouse co-director will produce a new big-screen adventure featuring the flame-haired comic-book vixen. While Brigitte Nielsen wielded Sonja�s sword in the poorly received 1985 version, Rodriguez�s Planet Terror zombie slayer and real-life leading lady, Rose McGowan, will wiggle into the metal mesh bikini in the 2010 release.

�I was surprised when Rose brought me a script of Red Sonja that she liked,� Rodriguez says from his home base of Austin, where he is shooting Shorts, a family film with James Spader and Jon Cryer. �I found it very entertaining. Sonja was strong, smart, cunning � just about everything she�d have to be to survive.�

McGowan�s initial impulse when offered the part? To laugh.

�When they first came to me with it, I thought it was funny,� says the actress, 34. �I do have a body made for sitting on a veranda with mint juleps and a parasol. I don�t know why I always have to save the planet.�

Rodriguez considers her a perfect fit as the mighty, and mighty voluptuous, avenger. �Rose is a pistol. She�s whip-smart, has attitude to burn, is sexy, extremely strong, yet has a vulnerable side that would surprise her closest friends. That description also fits Red Sonja.�

Not that his star isn�t committed to the whole barbarian babe concept, including the crimson locks.

�I do have a very scrappy-do personality,� says McGowan, who will undergo intense training before filming starts in October. �I lean toward physicality. The story has characters trashed by life who fight their way back. That is my theme.�

Unlike her one-legged Planet Terror heroine, she assures, �I need all my limbs for this.�

McGowan and Rodriguez have not seen Nielsen in the original, and they have no plans to catch up. As the actress explains, �Why put that in my head?�

Instead, the origin story, to be directed by longtime Rodriguez associate Douglas Aarniokoski, will take its cues from the comic books as well as works by pulp novelist Robert E. Howard, father of the original Sonja (then spelled Sonya) and Conan the Barbarian (also undergoing a movie revival).

�Howard�s goal was always, first and foremost, to spin a good yarn and to entertain,� says Rodriguez, who is hoping his Red Sonja turns into a franchise. �That�s our goal.�

ALYSSA INTERVIEW WITH CANADIEN'S MAGAZINE

Now that you�re in the design business, you�re qualified to tell us which team has the best uniforms in all of sports.

Alyssa Milano: Well, as a Dodgers fan I�m sort I�ve biased, but I have to say that everything looks great in navy. The Yankees uniforms are classic, and as far as the NHL goes I like the look of the Kings.

So which team is in most need of a makeover?

AM: That�s a good question, because there are so many. I would say the entire WNBA is in need of a makeover. They�re an exciting league but their uniforms are awful.

How did you get started with the whole Touch clothing line in the first place? What inspired you to embark on that type of project?

AM: Well, basically I�ve been a huge sports fan my whole life, and as a Dodgers season ticket holder � I�m entering my fourth year � I just got tired of going into the stadium shops and not finding anything cute or fashionable that fit my body and that wasn�t pink. I figured that if I was looking for something different, then obviously there was a market for it. I contacted my agency and pitched them the idea, and they set me up with Major League Baseball and I pitched them the idea, and I went into partnership with G3 Sports. We launched the line last year, and this year, in 2008, we already have licensing agreements with the NHL, the NFL, the NBA, and the NCAA, in addition to baseball.

Nice! So the whole line is blowing up pretty big for you.

AM: Yeah, it�s great. And this year we�re adding a headwear and jewelry component to it, too, so it�s pretty exciting. I�m very proud of it, and it�s really nice that when you have an idea that pops into your head, a year later it�s tangible and you can touch it and wear it.

After all your years working as an actress, did you find it tough to take on the role of entrepreneur and manage something like this?

AM: No, I really enjoy it, actually. I think it allows me to exercise a different part of my brain that acting doesn�t stimulate.

Doing a quick scan of blogs and the like it�s pretty clear that fans are really digging your designs. How much of a direct hand do you have in determining the look of your products?

AM: I�m totally involved in the design process. Probably more so than anyone wants me to be. (laughs) I pick everything from fabrics to silhouettes to buttons � I�m very hands-on.

What are some of the new designs you have planned for 2008?

AM: The 2008 year for Touch is really cool. We have a lot of great vests and hoodies and two-piece sets, so it�ll continue to be more fashion-forward than what�s already out there on the market, with quality fabrics and flattering silhouettes.

In your educated opinion, which professional sports league has the best types of women�s merchandise?

AM: Oh, you know, I think that in the past, it�s all been the same� crap. (laughs) You know what I mean? What they tried to do with female fan apparel was make little boy sizes and make it pink, and to me, that was the man�s answer to female fan apparel � Touch is the female answer to female fan apparel.

You were one of the hosts at this year�s NHL All-Star Game in Atlanta. Did you enjoy the experience?

AM: I had the best time ever. It was so great; I brought my brother, who has been playing hockey since he was 3 years old, and my dad, who�s a huge hockey fan, and my mom, and we just had an awesome family trip. I got to see Luc Robitaille, who I probably hadn�t seen in like 20 years, so that was a lot of fun.

Was one of the highlights for you meeting the Jonas Brothers? You can admit that it was.

AM: (laughs) Okay, I�ll admit it.

We actually read that you had owned a classic yellow-and-purple Luc Robitaille jersey. Is that true?

AM: That is correct! I actually had Kings season tickets before Gretzky came to L.A.

You mentioned you�re a Dodgers fan. What are your thoughts on Montreal�s own Russell Martin?

AM: I think Russell Martin is the most exciting player in baseball. I think he�s just so amazing to watch, and he was basically the backbone of that team last year. I hope the Dodgers sign him to a long-term contract quickly, because I just can�t wait to see what happens with him.

You�re a big fan of sports in general, but is it fair to say that baseball is your first love?

AM: I would say baseball and hockey, just because I have really fond memories of going to watch my brother play hockey at these tiny rinks when I was younger. And hockey was the first sport I bought season tickets for. I�m probably not quite as obsessed with hockey as I am baseball, but hockey�s definitely a close second.

Who�s your favorite player in the game today?

AM: Sidney Crosby, of course.

For our money one of the most underrated movies of the �90s was Fear. What was it like working with Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon in a film that featured one of their first lead performances?

AM: It was a great experience. We filmed Fear in Vancouver for three months and we had a great time. They were both incredibly professional and fun to work with.

You have a new movie coming out called Wisegal, correct?

AM: Yep. We shot it for Lifetime and they�ll be airing it later this year.

So which of your past costars was more insane: Wisegal�s James Caan or Charmed�s Shannen Doherty?

AM: (laughs) I wouldn�t say either one is really insane.

We read that you had seven tattoos. Is that still the number?

AM: I think it�s eight, now.

Eight, all right. Clear this up for us, then: if a woman could get only one tattoo, what should she get, and where should she get it?

AM: Oh, that�s just such a personal decision, I couldn�t even comment on it. It has to mean something to you, and years down the line, you need to be comfortable enough to look at it and be sure it�ll still have meaning for you.

Seeing all these photos of you at recent events, we were wondering how it is that you still look as good today as you did when you were starring on Who�s the Boss?

AM: I bathe in formaldehyde. (laughs) No, I don�t know. It�s just good genes. I don�t do anything special for my skin and I can still move my forehead, which is quite the accomplishment being an actress in this town. There�s no way I plan on shooting botulism into my face.

When you were starring alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in Commando back in 1985, did you ever think your acting career would last longer than his?

AM: No, and I never thought he�d become the governor of California, either.

ROSE "WOMAN IN CHAINS"

It is the year of the imprisoned women drama series.

Director Robert Rodriguez is shopping around Women in Chains! a violent drama set at a woman�s prison starring his fiancee, Rose McGowan.

The spec script, penned by Josh Miller and Mark Fortin, has been sent to a number of networks, including NBC and FX.

McGowan is set play one of five chained women at the center of the show, which Rodriguez is expected to direct. The two first worked together on last year�s Planet Terror, Rodriguez�s homage to 1970s exploitation flicks.

The new show also is rumored to be fashioned with a 1970s exploitation sensibility, with such staples like mud wrestling. Details about the plot were first leaked to AintItCool.com earlier this week.

Women behind bars has become a running theme of late. Chains! comes on the heels of HBO�s deal to do an American version of the British female prison drama Bad Girls with Alan Ball, Nancy Oliver and Raelle Tucker.

There has been a lot of speculation about Riley since I decided to lead a more private and normal life. I have not released a picture of him because I thought it unnecessary for a stay-at-home mom with nothing to promote but breastfeeding! Because [CBB] has always been so kind and respectful to me, as well as some of my friends, I wanted to send this in an effort to kill all the rumors about my perfectly healthy, really cute (in my biased opinion!) baby boy, who is 18 months old now.

Apparently, Shannen Doherty will be on the Swedish television show, "High Chaparall" in which "Taking a camera-team to America, Filip and Fredrik filmed a series of interviews with minor celebrities and has-beens such as Fabio Lanzoni, Ron Jeremy, Tonya Harding, Uri Geller, and Gary Busey. Rather than just sit down and talk, they also followed the stars around, sometimes for several days, and engaged themselves in various activities."

Shannen Doherty's will air on Monday, the 19th. This should be interesting! Hopefully we'll be able to see some of it!

Charmed Spin Off Has Been Written (by Holly Marie Combs)!

LOS ANGELES � It seems after nearly three years in the dark, and two years on the drawing board, and one year of constant rumor all over Charmed message boards, a spin off for the nearly failed show has been written.

On May 2, 2008, television networks, ABC and FOX were given the written pilot which was written by Charmed alumni, Holly Marie Combs, who played Piper Halliwell.

The CW, television network has rejected the spin-off twice, and will no longer consider the possiblity of the show.

"We already have a show similiar to what Mrs. Combs has written, and it's called Supernatural." Stated Dawn Ostroff, CW President.

Supernatural debuted in 2005, on the CW Network, and currently one of their more popular shows.

No details have been released on Combs' pilot of the new Charmed Spinoff, but it seems ABC and FOX have both read the scripts and are in talks with her and her team.

It is possible that the show will air this fall around Halloween.

Charmed, 1998-2006, was a supernatural show about three sister witches and their batles with evil. It is currently running in syndication on TNT.

ALYSSA TO STAR IN A NEW PILOT!

Alyssa posted up a blog on CL, and she had some very exciting news! She is going to be starring in a new pilot on ABC. I hope that it gets picked up. Here is her blog:

Hello everybody! I hope you are all well and happy. I thought I would update you a bit on my life. I am well. My stint on �My Name Is Earl� is finished shooting on May 2nd. I had a great time doing this show. It was truly an amazing experience. I am going to miss the cast and crew. It is always sad saying goodbye. You would think after 27 years in this business I would get used to that part but� I haven�t. When you work 12-14 hours a day with a group of people, it is hard to not get attached. They have a special thing going on over there and I am proud to have been a part of their success.

So� I have some very exciting news to share. I have just signed on to do a pilot by Dreamworks/ABC Studios for ABC. It�s a half hour, single camera show by the outstanding Kristen Newman. There is no title yet so they are calling it �The Untitled Kristen Newman Show�. The script is so freaking good I can�t even tell you. It�s warm, funny, slightly twisted, and has a ton of heart. I play Lou. She has put her life on hold to essentially parent her crazy parents. Her dad has younger kids from his second marriage that Lou is basically co-parenting with him and her mom is a career driven women and is enjoying being single a little too much. When her dad decides to get married again for the 3rd time Lou learns that her new step-mom has a really hot son and the family dynamic takes a new, chaotic, twist. Oh God� I hope ABC picks up this pilot. It has such potential. Keep you fingers crossed for me please. I hope they give us a chance.

In other news� My brother�s EP is out on iTunes. I am so proud of him. If you have a second, go on over and check it out. His band is called �Chloroform Days� and the album is called �No Traffic EP�. I promise you, his music will inspire you. It is amazing. Can you tell that I am proud of him? I am sooooooooo proud of him.

I am so happy the weather is starting to warm up. The ranch is so cozy this time of year. We have the craziest frogs living in the creek that runs behind the house. They are so loud. It is a wonderful way to fall asleep and to wake up. I am blessed.

ROSE IS IN BARBARELLA AFTER ALL!

Last August, it was all but assured that Grindhouse babe Rose McGowan was set to star as the title character, an ultra-hot space vixen, in Robert Rodriguez�s remake of Barbarella.

Or so we thought.

Because soon came the budget disputes. And the posturing. And the claims that Universal didn�t want McGowan at all, preferring instead a bigger name actress like Jessica Alba or Nicole Kidman.

Turns out, we got it right the first time, McGowan insisted, telling MTV News that she was still very much signed on to play the lead in the upcoming film.

So according to Wikipedia Holly will be in this movie with Brian. I have no idea whether this is true or not. I personally think there is a very good chance it is just a rumor, but I guess you never know! I personally would love to see Holly in another movie, but it does seem that she is taking some time off to spend time with her kids.
