Every year I like to come up with a unique incentive program for our students. This helps keep them motivated all year long. This year, students made Practice Chains. Read on!
Each students' practice chain starts out with their name spelled out in white beads. (The beads you start with do not count towards your points in the contest.)
Each week students will earn beads by practicing, memorizing music, and going to concerts. Students will be given a handout at the first lesson detailing all of the points that can be earned.
Colorful pony beads can be earned by Practicing! At each lesson you will have the opportunity to earn 1, 2, or 3 beads depending on how much you have practiced.
(specific practice guidelines will be given at the first lesson)

Specialty beads and charms can be earned for memory work and attending concerts!
Stars, sports, animals...all kinds of beads!
At our end of year recital, everyone will be able to take home their own unique Practice Chain! Each bead is worth 1 point. Those students who have earned the most points in each age group will earn either a bronze, silver or gold medal as well! (High schoolers may opt for free sheet music instead of the medal.)
Maintaining good practice habits is the key to doing well in this contest. Hey, they're called Practice Chains for a reason!
