Charlie the clown was very shy as a child and was always wary of anyone dressed up in costume. That's why when he started putting together his children's show at the age of just sixteen, he tailored his act, make up, and costume to take into consideration any children who were shy just like he was as a child.

His very gentle approach to small children has worked really well over the years and has seen him regularly rebooked in play schools, nurseries and pre schools all over the south. The main reason this works so well is that he keeps his make up to a minimum, isn't overpowering and makes sure that there are no loud bangs or anything in the show that would frighten or upset any little ones.
A RECENT COMMENT.
Very pleased at how Charlie changed his act so soon after seeing him last time. It was pitched just right for the pre school age group, so was his appearance and manner, as some of the children there were wary of clowns, but by the end of the show they were all up and joining in. It was marvelous to watch.

Charlie can adapt his show to suit most situations and performs various length acts.
Below are a few options...
The 30 Minute show.
The 30 minute show is usually booked for pre school shows where the youngsters have a short attention span and won't sit still for much longer than that. All the magic and fun is kept easy to understand and very colourful to hold their attention throughout.
There are no loud bangs or anything to upset the young ones as charlie understands that some of the children will be seeing a clown for probably the first time.
Charlie currently has numerous repeat bookings (10 years on the trot) in play groups and pre-schools because of his gentle approach to entertaining young children.
Every!!! child gets a goody and a full colour picture to take home with them.
The 45 Minute show.
Charlie will performs his hilarious comedy magic show that involves lots of audience participation, juggling, balloon modelling and plate spinning.
For birthday parties Charlie will make your child the star of the show by making them a special balloon sculpture and producing goodies for them in a very magical way.
Every!!! child gets a goody and a full colour picture to take home with them.
2 Hour Show
Above is Charlie's typical set up for a two hour party in a hall.
2 hour parties in your home still have all the same content, but obviously the large sound system isn't needed.
The two hour show consists of party dances, comedy games and competions, with prizes and goodies for the winners. (Nobody gets left out) games include pass the parcel, musical bumps/statues the jungle game, corners, (time permitting) the hoop game, and the memory game.
Charlie provides the music and professional sound system. (pictured above) with songs to suit all age groups.
Then there is a break for food,
After the food, Charlie will then light the candles on the cake (not supplied) and will get all the
children singing Happy Birthday to the special boy or girl.
Charlie finishes off the party by performing his hilarios comedy magic show.
Every!!! child gets a goody and a full colour picture to take home with them.
Fun with pass the parcel...
Mix and Mingle
Mix and mingle is the ideal entertainment if you dont want a static show with the performer being in one place or are short on space.
Charlie will walk around mingling with your guests making balloon animals for them and performing close up magic with lots of funny business.
Mix and mingle can be performed at any function and takes up little room, also if you have lots of people to entertain they all get a chance to see the performance as charlie will be moving amonst them.
Mix and mingle shows can last from as little as half an hour to all day if needed.
Charlie can also mix the entertainment above to suit your needs, ie a 30 minute show plus 30 minutes mix and mingle or 4 hours mix and mingle with a 45 minute show in the middle.
The possibilities are endless.

Thank you very much for the brilliant entertainment on Saturday at Emma's party. Everybody said how funny you were and you have been the subject of conversation all weekend.
I have just dropped off Emma at Nursery and met a parent whose child was at the party. She commented on how her boy, Jeesie, keeps talking about Charlie the Clown. Emma has been trying to do magic ever since you left and we have to keep her balloon dog on the sideboard.
Both adults and children really enjoyed themselves. I was more worried about my 67 yr old mother wetting her knickers rather than Emma!
We appreciated the phone call the day before to set our minds at rest and the fact that you turned up nice and early on the day. The whole thing from making the booking to the end of the show we found very professional. It was absolutely fantastic and so much better than we had hoped for, I must admit I didn't think it would be that good. You exceeded all expectations as they say.
The only thing we didn't like was that it had to end.
Thanks again Charlie, I don't think we'll ever forget you
