Been on forums or something when someone has said "lol" or "omg" or "btw" and didn't know what it meant? Been called a n00b or noob and not wondered what that even is? This is a guide for those people that don't know what all of these mean!
Note: This guide DOESN'T have the ones with swearing. I'm against swearing on websites (not in real life) so I wont have them on here.
Key: MESAGE: What It Means description.
OMG: Oh My God This is usually used when in shock or when you something happened and it wasn't supposed to.
AFK: Away From Keyboard This is usually used in online multiplayer games. Can also be used when your account is online but your not on it.
BRB: Be Right Back Use this when you need to go to the toilet or get some food. Your usually only gone for a few minutes or less.
BBS: Be Back Soon People say this when they will be of for around an hour or so. Longer then BRB though.
BBL: Be Back Later This is said mainly when they will be on again but not sure when.
BBT: Be Back Tomorrow The person that said it will be online tomorrow.
BBW: Be Back Whenever The person that said this will be online later but not sure when.
G2G: Got To Go They have to go.
WB: Welcome Back Someone is saying Welcome Back
IC: I See Usually used when someone explains something to them.
IIRC: If I Recall Correctly Usually used when someone is trying to remember something
BTW: By The Way Usually used to add little bits of info at the end.
IRL: In Real Life Usually used when come pairing something that's fake to real life.
JK: Joking or Just Kidding When you say something you didn't mean or was a joke.
YW: You're Welcome Usually used after someone says thanks or thank you
TY: Thank You Usually said after you get something or someone helps you.
NP: No Problem Same as You're Welcome
GG: Good Game After a game you say this as a show of good sportsmen ship
IMO: In My Opinion Usually said before you state you opinion
IMHO: In My Humble Opinion A nicer way of saying your opinion
LOL: Laughing Out Loud Said after someone said something funny
ROFL: Rolling On the Floor Laughing Said after something really funny
N/A: Not Applicable Usually said after someone does something stupid
TTFN: Ta Ta For Now Said when a person is leaving but are coming back on later
TTYL: Talk To You Later Usually said when someone is logging off and they're not sure when their coming back on
1337, LEET or Elite: Something very cool Usually said after seen something cool
w00t: Expression of joy such as Hooray! Usually used when won something or found out something good
owned / pwned: something that has been defeated or shown to be weak. Usually said when won something easy
own / pwn: verb form of above Some as above.
