The other Bali, our may 2005 visit
We did a visit to the two projects we establised contacts with earlier this year.
The Bali Children Project in Ubud has done very nice work for the kids in the very poor schools by providing volunteers for English classes and arts classes in some of the schools as well.
Some impressions from the works done are shown above.
The project really requires more help in manpower and funds so...

We found David Booths office in the outskirts off Denpasar and had a very nice introduction to his project in the mountain area of north east Bali.
A very remote area which is not accessable by roads, unless you are a master of the 4x4 cars.
This is Bali, off the beaten track, still very nice as always
Some of the kids in the not so rich areas.
Once you are heading north things get much worse, and most of the tourists never get to see it.
You can see processions like these everywhere in Bali
As this trip was rather short and we could not find time to visit EBPP area, because it would take at least a day trip to get close, we will further update you later.
