Nano By Dares
One of the first pieces of advice that an aspiring Nanoer is given is that you don't need a plot to reach the 50000.
This year I hope to take this theory to the extreme and I'll be relying solely on the input of my fellow Nanoers to make this a success.

It took me until September to realise that the plot I had been working on since last years Nano was the literary equivalent of a broken chair. Rather than go through the frankly stressful routine of thinking up plot and character and back-story and twist and red herring, I decided to do the logical thing, which apparently is to let everyone else write the plot for me.
I'm planning to work through the forums and LJ communities, pleading for people to feed me scraps of plot, to make me characters and to shape the world that I hope to squeeze fifty thousand words out of.
This is Nano by dares.
No dare will be unwritten; no character will be left out. Anything you care to dare me will be a part of the final word count.
It's a silly idea. But it's worth a try.
