What is happening in Northern Ontario?

The town of Chapleau Ontario Canada thinks it is okay to shoot stray cats and dogs to death at the municipal dump after three business days in the municipal pound. We at the Chapleau Rescue Ring (CRR) disagree with this occurrence, and agree with the Ontario Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) that it is inhumane. It is not illegal however, so it continues to occur regularly throughout Northern Ontario towns who can not afford more costly humane kill methods.

What can you do to help?

We are not an "official" charity organization, so donations are hard to come by (though very welcome). Donations of old blankets, towels, crates, food, litter, etc. would be best so that monies need not be declared as income.

Provincial and municipal governmet bodies visit this site regularly! SO...

 **REMEMBER TO LEAVE A COMMENT!!**
