As a sad pathetic gamer, I decide that all my Sergeants and above should have names. As the only names of Salamanders I had were Xavier & Tu'shan, I ignored them.

Decide to go with names that sound similar to the Klingons from the various incarnations of 'Star Trek' with one notable exception: The commander would have a Thunder Hammer and go by the name Grabthar, purely so I could cry "By the hammer of Grabthar I will avenge thee!" before each shooting phase.

I've watched Galaxy Quest too often...

After deciding that I'd do a Space Marine army, as this tends to be most people's first Warhammer 40,000 army, I'm left with the dilemma of which chapter to use.

Once I'd decided that I wanted a 'shooty' army it was clear that Blood Angels, Space Wolves & Black Templars were right out.

There was already a Dark Angels player in my gaming group so they were out as well, leaving a choice between regular marines and Salamanders. As a fan of all things fiery, Salamanders were the answer.

I've decided to start a new army for Warhammer 40,000 and I thought "Wouldn't it be cool if I did a website for my new army so people can see how a regular gamer's army evolves?" Probably not, but I did it anyway.
