According to Perim legend, a herd of wild drelp beasts stampeded a powerful Muge in the OverWorld. The Muge cursed the herd and they were instantly transformed into living skeletons. A great rift opened up in the ground and the herd of Skeletal Steeds galloped into the UnderWorld, never to see daylight again unless they were ridden in battle. Frightening in appearance and brave in battle, these steeds remain fiercely loyal to the Warriors who ride them no matter what their Tribe.
Creatures stop cold at the sound of a Skeletal Steed's pounding hooves! With impressive range and swiftness, these fearsome beasts carry Creatures through the most perilous parts of Perim. A Skeletal Steed must be revealed at the start of a match.

The Spectral Viewer is a rare example of cooperation between Underworlders and OverWorlders. Both Tribes had been working on a Battlegear that would let them see invisible Creatures in order to defend themselves against secret attacks by Mipedians. Each Tribe had developed different lenses that were defective and worked only partially. When the two lenses were placed in a tube together, they worked perfectly, showing an invisible Creature's Energy silhouette. Mipedians detest this gear.
The Spectral Viewer allows Creatures to see the unseeable. This Battlegear can penetrate all Invisibility effects, revealing an Energy silhouette of the Creature. A Spectral Viewer is indispensable when Creatures travel through Mipedian territory.

The Staff of Wisdom was used by the ancients of Perim, but it was forgotten in the mists of passing time. It was Najarin who came upon a reference to this old Battlegear, while he was perusing a parchment in his library at Lake Ken-i-po. Using what information he could glean from a dusty and faded text, Najarin was able to recreate the staff. He gave it as a gift to his grateful friend Mezzmar, who lives in Lake Ken-i-po. News of this rediscovered Battlegear eventually spread throughout Perim.
Many believe the glowing gem at the apex of the Staff of Wisdom gives the staff the ability to confer greater Wisdom to Creatures, but the gem merely focuses the power contained in the staff itself. This Battlegear is one of the most ancient in Perim.

Stone Mail was created by a reclusive OverWorlder named ørth, who lives in a series of caves under the Crystal Range. ørth is very shy, rarely dealing with other Creatures. Once, the savage Kughar stomped into his cave, threatening to collapse ørth's home unless he gave Kughar treasure. Luckily, Bl?as in the area and came to ørth's aid. Kughar soon retreated to the UnderWorld. In thanks for his help, ørth gave Bl?ome Stone Mail armor. The Creatures have been friends ever since.
This Gear greatly increases a Creature's Energy, but at a price. Stone Mail is super heavy. The Warrior who wears it can't move, so enemy Attacks do more damage. Wearing this awkward armor also makes it impossible to use any special abilities!

The Talisman of the Mandiblor is one of the Danian Tribe's most venerated objects. It is kept under heavy guard at the top of Mt. Pillar, in a chamber close to the Queen's Throne Room. During times of war, the Talisman of the Mandiblor is brought forth from Mt. Pillar in a grand procession with long lines of marching troops, and the talisman itself raised high above the Danian throngs. All Mandiblors bow as the talisman passes, since it has the power to restore them if they fall in battle.
The mystical Energy emitted by the Talisman of the Mandiblor will increase any Creature's Speed. Danians who carry this singular and highly-revered Battlegear can sacrifice themselves to restore a Mandiblor from their team onto the field of combat.

Intress often wears a Torrent Krinth when she knows she's heading into danger. Once, when an assault squad of Danian Warriors took over an important tunnel leading to the UnderWorld, Maxxor sent Intress to drive them back. Armed with her dependable Torrent Krinth, Intress caught the Danians by surprise and swept them away in a furious flood. This assault Battlegear is especially useful in certain wet Locations like Everrain.
This Battlegear was created by some aquatic OverWorlders. Usually worn on the forearm, the Torrent Krinth enables expert Water Attackers to shoot out wave after wave of Rip Tides and Steam Rages until their opponents are totally wiped out!

OverWorlders worked several years to design and build this Gear. After many false steps, the turbo engine pack was completed, but it still lacked the ability to boost Attack strength. Bodal eventually made the critical breakthrough when he welded the Clovik Gems to the back of the Torwegg pack. Maxxor hoped that building the Torwegg would force the Mipedians to negotiate a peace treaty, but a Mipedian spy named Skuulk stole the Battlegear plans. Tensions between the two Tribes continued.
The Torwegg is a fast-flying Battlegear for Creatures who are experts at Air Attacks. This skypack has three turbo engines to increase flight Speed and maneuverability. The engine power can be channeled through Clovik Gems to intensify Air Attacks.

This mighty and menacing Battlegear was designed and built by the mad genius Ulmar, who was under orders from the UnderWorld ruler Chaor to build the ultimate fire weapon. The first Viledriver that Ulmar designed had mechanical problems and eventually was destroyed in an accident at his laboratory. Ulmar soon built an improved model. Chaor wants to outfit all his military units with Viledrivers as an invulnerable defensive force ? or maybe in preparation for an invasion of the OverWorld.
Creatures who excel at Fire Attacks often boost their firepower with the formidable Viledriver. Its mechanized legs can traverse rough terrain, while the Viledriver's cannons can launch overwhelming streams and salvos of smoke and flame.

There are many magical gems and minerals beneath the mountains of Perim. Many can be found in the Vlaric Mines, which lie about halfway between the OverWorld and the UnderWorld. While Creatures from below ground mostly seek Diamonds of Vlaric, OverWorlders often come in search of Vlaric Shards, since many Creatures of their Tribe are skilled at Earth Attacks. Creatures from other Tribes sometimes use Vlaric Shards as well. Mallash, a Danian Battlemaster, once traveled to the mines to find one.
This is the Battlegear of choice for Creatures who are good at Earth Attacks but want to power-up their Pebble Storms or give some verve to their Vine Snares! The Vlaric Shard looks just like an ordinary stone, but its impact is truly earth-shattering.

This is Dardemus' favorite Battlegear. He has a pair of custom-made Whepcracks that he uses to keep prisoners in line in The Pits, the UnderWorld's subterranean jail. Once there was a mass riot in the Pits, led by some of the UnderWorld's most notorious criminals. The other guards all fell under the overwhelming assault, but Dardemus stood firm with his whips whirling constantly, hurling Torrents of Flame and Ember Swarms. Thanks to his Whepcracks, he single-handedly stopped the riot.
The Whepcrack comes from down under - way down in the UnderWorld. This flame-flinging whip takes some practice to use effectively, but any Creature who masters it is sure to put up a powerful fight. UnderWorld Fire specialists use this Gear for an Attack boost.

The mischievous Prantix once rode a Windstrider through the Storm Tunnel on a dare from Xaerv. He miraculously made it through the turbulent tube, but after he was blasted out of the far end of the tunnel, Prantix lost control of the Windstrider and crash-landed somewhere in the Flatlands of T'lark. It took two Songs of Resurgence to heal him. After that misadventure, Prantix refused to go anywhere near the Storm Tunnel for almost a year, and he never accepted a dare from Xaerv again.
A surfboard-like Battlegear kept aloft by a wing-sail, the Windstrider enables Creatures to soar through the skies of Perim. Creatures riding a Windstrider can move two additional spaces. This Gear must be revealed at the beginning of a match.
