According to some OverWorlders, the Aqua Shield was secretly designed and built by Rellim at his mill in the Riverlands. It's said that Rellim used this Battlegear to defeat Nauthilax when the UnderWorld Warrior staged a sneak assault on his home.
Highly prized for their energizing and healing properties, Aqua Shields are difficult to come by as relatively few are made. Bodal stores a small number in the Kiru City Armory, but he's stingy about assigning them unless directly ordered to do so by Maxxor.
Water's life-sustaining force was harnessed to create the amazing Aqua Shield. This Battlegear looks fragile, but when activated it releases an energizing water barrier. The Aqua Shield can also be sacrificed to heal an injured warrior.

The first Cyclance was created in the Mipedim Oasis for Prince Mudeenu. He commissioned it for use in a friendly duel against Marquis Darini, a noted Air Attack specialist. The duel ended in a draw. Darini was so impressed with the Cyclance that he asked the Prince to supply his personal legion with the Battlegear. Over the years, as they were stolen, captured and copied, use of Cyclances slowly spread to the other Tribes of Perim. However, Cyclances manufactured by Mipedians are still considered to be the best.
This lance-like Battlegear can literally blow enemies away - or give them an electrifying shock! The Cyclance is extremely valuable to Creatures who don't specialize in Air Attacks. Once sacrificed, this Battlegear can only be used in a single battle.

The Vlaric Mines, where the diamonds are found, lie deep beneath the peaks of Ravanaugh Ridge. There are many tunnels in these ancient mines. Both OverWorlders and UnderWorlders go there, digging in dark, twisting tunnels for valuable diamonds, gems and shards used to create Battlegear. The Diamond of Vlaric is especially valued by UnderWorlders, since few of them are experts in Earth Attacks. UnderWorlders who possess Diamonds of Vlaric guard them jealously.
Creatures who aren't skilled at Earth Attacks use this Battlegear when they want to rock their opponents' world. The powerful Diamond of Vlaric is often worn on a chain around the neck. It may look like jewelry, but this diamond is dangerous!

Ulmar designed this Battlegear specifically for Krekk, a notorious coward. The gargoyle-like UnderWorlder had been sent by Lord Van Bloot on a spy mission to the Mipedian desert. Krekk was terrified to enter enemy territory and went to Ulmar for help. The inventor gave Krekk his first Dragon Pulse prototype. The Battlegear worked perfectly, giving Krekk the Courage he needed to carry out his mission. In gratitude, Krekk sometimes brings Ulmar inside information about Van Bloot's schemes.
With its twin, fire-spewing serpents sculpted from Icirian bronze, the whirling Dragon Pulse is truly an intimidating sight. It's no wonder that the Creatures who carry it feel such brash confidence. This fearsome Battlegear comes from the UnderWorld.

The ingredients of the Elixir of Tenacity vary slightly from Tribe to Tribe, but the same basic ingredients are found in all formulas. A cup of murky water from the Gloomuck Swamp is essential, as is the juice of a Danian fungus fruit. It's important to add a pinch of dust from the Darkened Dunes in Al Mipedim and three drops of molten magma from the Lava Pond. The resulting concoction is mulled for more than a month, and then poured into a specially-crafted glass container.
When a Creature must race to a friend's rescue or face down a frightening foe, the Elixir of Tenacity can help. Strong Creatures often quaff the elixir when they need more Energy. The strange ingredients in this magical potion must be gathered from all over Perim.

Long ago, an ancient UnderWorlder named Brrug discovered a strange, round gemstone in a cave near Jagged Pillar. To Brrug's amazement, a fantastic force inside the stone started swirling when he picked it up and he was instantly transported to the middle of the Pouril Forest! This was the first recorded "flux" in Perim history. Later, Creatures discovered similar gemstones and discovered that the Energy of a Creature can activate the fluxing process. Thus the Flux Bauble was born.
The remarkable Flux Bauble allows Creatures to rearrange the Locations where they battle. This Battlegear is extremely useful when a Creature is in unfriendly territory and is desperate to get on the move.

Gauntlets of Might are used throughout Perim by Creatures of all known Tribes. They are especially popular with UnderWorlders, who attach great importance to physical strength. The Gauntlets manufactured by Khybon at his forge are famous for their durability and power. Chaor once wore a pair of Gauntlets and defeated the powerful Tharax in the UnderWorld Colosseum at the start of his reign. He keeps the Gauntlets on display in his palace.
Even weaker Creatures can become powerhouses when equipped with the Gauntlets of Might. These two metallic gloves magnify a Creature's strength. The Gauntlets are great Battlegear to have on hand when a Creature needs some extra muscle.

Takinom once used a Liquilizer in a bold attempt to capture Maxxor. She was lying in wait for the OverWorld ruler when he passed through Rock River Canyon on an important mission. Takinom then ambushed Maxxor, using the Liquilizer to blast out a Frost Blight Attack that froze him in a solid block of ice. Maxxor was able to break free of the ice, but when he tried to capture Takinom, she fired off a Steam Rage Attack from the Liquilizer and used it as cover to quickly make her escape.
The Liquilizer is used by Creatures who have trouble performing effective Water Attacks. Its small tank holds a huge amount of water in an ultra-compressed state and also draws moisture from the surrounding air, so its water supply is virtually inexhaustible.

Mipedian Cacti grow wild in certain areas of the Mipedian Desert. The cacti are extremely difficult to find, especially during periods of severe drought. Many Mipedians have attempted to grow the prickly plants on farms, but all their attempts have failed. The scorpion-like Slurhk is one of the few non-Mipedians who actually enjoys the taste of the cactus. He often tracks Mipedians across the desert secretly, hoping they will lead him to an area where the cacti grow.
When Mipedians find these bizarre plants in the desert, they gobble them up. Other Creatures find Mipedian Cacti revolting, but still eat them because they increase Wisdom. When this rare delicacy is consumed, Mipedians gain the ability to instantly move to any Location in exchange for sacrificing a Mugician.

Blaizer has ridden his Mowercycle across every kind of terrain imaginable during his scouting missions around Perim. This freaky-looking vehicle rarely lets him down. During one bold expedition into UnderWorld City, Blaizer was nearly captured by Chaor, who rode a fire-spewing VileDriver. After a wild chase through the city's twisting streets, Blaizer managed to evade Chaor's Fire Attacks and escape - thanks to the Mowercycle's superior speed.
Mowercycles can be found throughout Perim. Thanks to the gripping teeth on its uni-wheel, this all-terrain, high-velocity vehicle can race straight up the sides of sheer OverWorld cliffs -- or upside down across the ceilings of UnderWorld caves!

The Mugicians once lived in peace and harmony in Perim, until a conflict over the Cothica divided them into warring factions. They eventually destroyed each other. However, the spirits of the Mugicians still roam Perim and seek to inhabit Creatures of the Tribes with whom they allied long ago. Each of the Tribes has special artisans who carefully craft the Lyres out of rare wood and precious metals. Najarin has a large collection of these Mugical instruments and is considered to be an expert player.
The Mugician's Lyre is the Battlegear of choice when a Warrior needs to attract one of the ethereal Mugicians roaming Perim. Strumming the Lyre produces enchanting notes that have the ability to attract these ancient beings.

This ancient Battlegear has changed little since its invention ages ago. All the Tribes of Perim possess Nexus Fuses, though this Battlegear is difficult and dangerous to make. The explosive materials in the center of the fuse are extremely unstable. One factory in the UnderWorld blew up during a manufacturing run, causing a cataclysmic cave-in. Chaor quickly had another factory built, determined to keep his forces supplied with this all-important Gear.
This small Battlegear packs a powerful punch. Just holding the Nexus Fuse is enough to increase a Creature's Energy. However, many Creatures choose to sacrifice the Nexus Fuse during difficult battles because the blast deals significant damage to their opponents.

Though the Orb of Foresight is a remarkable piece of Gear, certain Creatures are wary of using it to look into the future. Gazing into the Orb, viewers sometimes learn of events they would rather not know about. Ekuud once used an Orb of Foresight and experienced a vision that left him deeply disturbed for many days. He refused to tell anyone what he had seen, though some Danians believe the Orb gave Ekuud a glimpse of his own downfall. Ekuud has avoided using the Orb of Foresight ever since.
Warriors use the Orb of Foresight at the start of battle to determine which Attack to perform first, but the unexpected visions seen within the Orb can be extremely unsettling. This Battlegear should be used with caution.

Khybon built the Phobia Mask at his massive forge that stands astride Molten River. The gems in the mask act as projectors, sending frightening visions into an opponent's mind. The first mask Khybon built was apparently destroyed in a mysterious accident, but he later returned to the drawing board and built a new one. Agitos, Chaor's trusted adviser, wore a Phobia Mask when he battled the much stronger Frafdo at Castle Pillar. With the help of the menacing mask, Agitos emerged triumphant.
Built to look frightening, the Phobia Mask is even more chilling once it is activated. When the gems on the mask begin to glow, this Battlegear sends out nightmarish visions that weaken opposing Creatures, usually turning them into quivering cowards.

During his travels through the Crystal Range, the great warrior Raimusa discovered a shining crystal of a type he had never seen before. This unique crystal pulsed with Energy. When he picked it up, a surge of Energy entered Raimusa's body. Realizing the importance of his discovery, he brought the crystal to his friend Blugon. Together, they studied the crystal's properties and used it to make the first, primitive Prism of Vacuity, which proved to be extremely effective in battle.
The large crystal embedded in this wondrous wrist band produces a field that energizes the Warrior wearing it. If a Creature sacrifices the Prism of Vacuity, the crystal can also absorb much of their opponent's Power!

Though Pyroblasters come from the UnderWorld, they are mainly used by Creatures from the other Tribes of Perim, especially OverWorlders. Chaor, furious that his enemies are being armed with Battlegear built in his own kingdom, outlawed the export of Pyroblasters to all areas outside of the UnderWorld. His decree had some effect, but to Chaor's annoyance many blasters are still smuggled into the OverWorld. Creatures with weak Fire Attacks are willing to pay a hefty sum for Pyroblasters.
Creatures who have a hard time doing Fire Attacks can arm themselves with a Pyroblaster. Built in the UnderWorld, these triple-barreled flame throwers can be found throughout Perim. This Gear can only be used for one battle after it is sacrificed.

Long ago, a Warrior named Na'arin single-handedly held back a hoard of invaders while his troops regrouped. After Na'arin's troops routed the invaders, they found him critically wounded on the field of battle. As his life slipped away, Na'arin ordered another Warrior to remove the ring from his finger. The great Warrior then swore to his troops that whoever wore that ring or one like it would be granted Na'arin's Power and Wisdom-and that the bravest among them would receive Energy from his spirit.
This bejeweled ring has a long and noble history. The wearer of the Ring of Na'arin receives the Power and Wisdom of one of Perim's greatest warriors, while the life force of his spirit gives Energy to those who are truly brave in battle.

This watery Battlegear is a favorite of Rellim, especially when he finds himself outside the Riverlands. Rellim relied on a Riverland Star for defense when he was ambushed by the gruesome Ghuul during a trading expedition to the Pouril Forest. Thanks to the healing properties of the star, Rellim withstood a punishing barrage of Fire Attacks. He then turned the tide of battle with a powerful Steam Rage, followed by a barrage of Hail Storm Attacks. Ghuul was quickly all washed up!
The Riverland Star holds sparkling, life-giving water from the Riverlands. OverWorld Creatures who use Water Attacks receive healing Energy from this gear, just like at the Riverlands. The Riverland Star gives Courage to any Creature who wields it.
