[title of show] July 5, 2008 ~ Broadway Jeff Bowen, Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, Larry Pressgrove First Broadway Preview; mostly fullstage shots with some closeups throughout; slight camera wandering but not too much; tape switch during "Christines Message" but nothing else is lost; great video on a great night for the fans of the show A-
(What a great show, and highly entertaining too, its a shame it didnt get too long on Broadway! This DVD was pretty good... the camera did wander a bit and at times it was kind of hard to hear what was said, but overall i dont think it took anything away from this show! Just lots of fun)

(1966 highlights) + Angela Lansbury: A Celebration (Broadway, 11/17/96)
First there is the all-star tribute gala where Broadway’s best turn out to salute Angela—let’s see, includes Lauren Bacall, Len Cariou, Sam Harris, Jennifer Holliday, Chita Rivera, Elaine Stritch, Barbara Cook, Bea Arther, and lots more—in song and tribute! As if that were not enough, there’s also a half hour of silent footage of the ORIGINAL cast of Mame from 1966! The is an amazing find and has the only known footage of Bea Arthur in the role of Vera Charles! It's pretty good for being about 41 years old and filmed in color. Someone along the years has dubbed music from the show under the silent footage. Far left side of the stage is cut off at times. Overall a good video

Original Broadway Cast Press Reels
RENTHEADS! FINALLY, the elusive Press Reels have surfaced. This 23 minute video is like a time capsule from 1996. Crystal Clear clips of the following songs; RENT, One Song Glory, Today 4 U, Take Me or Leave Me, I'll Cover You, Seasons of Love and La Vie Boheme. As far as I know, this is the only professional taping of the original Broadway cast onstage. Even though it runs less than ½ hour, this is a spectacular pro capture of these talented performers in the ground-breaking musical. More raw and affecting than the film version of these numbers. Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal, Daphne Ruben- Vega, Idina Menzel, Freddie Walker, Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Jesse l Martin (A+)

Shrek: The Musical August 15, 2008 ~ Seattle, WA Brian D'Arcy James, Sutton Foster, Chester Gregory, Christopher Sieber, John Tartaglia, Kecia Lewis-Evans Filmed from the back row of the right balcony; small theater so zoomed closeups are very clear shot.No picture at the beginning of each act, so the picture is blurry or non-existant for a bit, and there's one short coverup during Donkey's entrance, but other than that everything is there. There's very little audience obstruction and spotlight washout, and the sound is excellent throughout. 2 DVDs A
