History: She is a very special case, extremely kind mare, but has had some very very VERY bad experiences with someone in the past. She belongs to a friend of my mothers, who just couldn't deal with all her quirks so gave her to us on long term/permanent loan. She came to us in a near dangerous state, throwing herself on the floor as soon as a girth touched her, throwing herself over backwards as soon as she felt pressure on her headcollar etc etc. Over the past year or so she has worked through just about all of her issues, you still have to take things very gently with her but she isn't half as worried and extreme about things. Just before I left home I started to school her now and then, which had always been a no go area. You could tell somewhere in the past she had been schooled to an amazingly good level but had just been pushed too much and fried her brain. I wish I had had more opportunity to get her back to showing/dressage material but my mother liked her best as a hacking horse so that is what she stayed.
