Thunderbird Study Group

creating excellence one cadet at a time

Home

This is a training tool for Utah wing cadets that are looking to get a lot from the cadet program. I am  Lieutenant Newhall from Thunderbird Composite Squadron. I have been involved with the Rocky Mountain Region Drill Team for 3 years now. In those three years I have realized the dramatic affect that Drill Team has on cadets. It gets cadets motivated to the program and increases their will to promote and learn more about the opportunities that CAP offers other cadets. I hope you find this site valuable as I attempt to pass down some of the techniques to help improve your experience in the Civil Air Patrol.

Also, it would be appreciated if you guys left some info in the forum area. Say 'hi' or whatever.

WELCOME CAPUNITS.COM

As of 5/29/07 my website finally got recognized by capunits.com. capunits.com has brought together a variety of different websites to their website in order to make the cadet program more successful and introduce cadets to other people across the nation just for CAP.  So i'm very excited to have this website nationally known.

DRILL TEAM INFORMATION

Since this is now officially a wing website and resource tool I wanted to extend the love of Drill Team to other cadets. I'm not sure how many cadets view this website or refer to this website on a regular basis. However, Drill Team is possibly one of the greatest experiences anyone will go through. You have the ability to travel across the nation and meet new cadets. You meet the National Commander, Air Force Honor Guard, and Air Force Officials. Some of my greatest friends have come through Drill Team. Also, it has been easier for me to promote because of Drill Team as well. Whether you are an Airman Basic or a Cadet Colonel I beg of you to at least give drill team a shot. You won't regret it. If you want more information about how to get involved or some questions about drill team please e-mail me at CAPhighFlyer@comcast.net. Thank you very much.
