Born in Boston, Massachusetts he grew up a fairly normal childhood with the exception of his workaholic parents. He was on his own quite a bit. This is where he gained his strength in taking care of himself. He joined the Boy Scouts and made Eagle Scout in almost record time. When his father wasn’t working he would take Stephen and his mother out to a cabin they had on the lake not far from their home in northern Mass. The times at the cabin were some of Stephen’s favorite times as he felt he was one with nature when he was there. His mother died in a shuttle accident not far from their home and Stephen and his father grew further apart.
Professional History:
Henderson heard about Star-fleet opportunities and wanted to try his hand, but the outdoorsmen in him wanted to do something more with his hand and less with technology so he looked in the Star-Fleet Marine Corps. It was right up his alley. He started out as an Enlisted man and after over 4 years of training he put in for a Warrant Officer’s position within his unit. His application was immediately accepted and he was promoted.
Henderson’s commissioning was the first as a Warrant Officer in the SWCC (Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman) of Special Boat Team 12. The Combatant Crewman train extensively in craft and weapons tactics, techniques and procedures. Focusing on clandestine infiltration and ex-filtration of SEALs and other special forces, Naval Special Warfare Combatant Crewmen provide dedicated, rapid mobility in shallow water areas where larger ships cannot go. Special Warfare Combat Crewman training is comprised of three areas: Physical Fitness/water Safety Skills, Basic Crewmember Skill, and Basic SWCC Warfare Skills.
Stephen also has training in numerous different types weaponry from knives and other hand to hand weapons as well as all of Star-fleet’s phaser weaponry and anti-personnel mines. An Eagle Scout as a child he also learned to live off the land and fashion anything he might need in time of need.
