Message from the president
Sunday the 5th of October was celebrated by 20½ people, with 15 motorcycles with 1 cage along for the ride to Standley Chasm. It was a great day out, if a little windy and overcast with the pack remaining as one at or near the speed limit.
We told stories and met with visiting bikers, before returning to town where a sizable group met at Alan’s place for a sausage sizzle and swim. Two more of our members who were unable to make the ride came around to join in the party.
Being a part of the Ulysses Club family is really special, and riding together is a big part of what we love to do.
On Wednesday the 1st of October at Federal Sports Club with 6 members present (Alan, Michael, Steve, Laney, Carol & Ray) watched on as the Fed’s president Taffy Fraser drew from my helmet 4 of the 203 tickets sold in our UCARF raffle.
1st prize was a green ticket - B31 for 10 passes to the YMCA, won by no other than Taffy Fraser who was very pleased to say that he had someone he could give it to, thereby saving himself all that exercise and effort.
2nd ticket was also green – B87 for a $50 voucher to the Gillen Club won by our very own John Sterk.
3rd was purple E21 and another $50 voucher to Gillen Club for Herman Van Wyk.
4th prize was also purple and a Cannon photo album kit goes to G Bett.
We raised $350 for the Ulysses Club Arthritis Research Fund
