I have been interested in paranormal research for some time now. It all began with stories my grandfather would tell me about the Hoosac Tunnel, built in Berkshire County back in the early 1800s.   

He had one story that I will never forget. Years after the tunnel was completed he was hired to do some finishing work on the tunnel. One Day while in the Tunnel, he and a co-worker  saw a light that kind of looked like a gas lantern not far from where they were working. He said that it looked nothing like the lanterns that they had in his day but like an old gas lantern they used way back when. Well he and his co-worker tried to get closer to the light but as they got closer the light got dim. When they got to where the light had been coming from they looked in the area for footprints and found nothing. After that he and his co-worker never went back. I think of this to be a true story because if you knew my granfather he was not one for making things up.
