The Career Education Center operates on the philosophical basis that education in America today must be based on the constantly changing needs of a high-tech society. Needs assessments are a primary focus of training programs at the center. Instructors work with professionals in the business world to prescribe academic programs that will train employees to do the job.
A wide variety of software applications is offered to help the student adapt to many different products used in the workplace.
All training sessions are personalized instruction, outlined with a set of behavioral objectives. The staff at CEC prepares a detailed instructional manual to lead the students through simple, clear, concise, step-by-step procedures to accomplish each objective. Learning methods include a variety of innovative methods. Instructional sessions are led by qualified instructors and are designed to explain concepts in the detailed textbook-workbook.
Hands-on computer training using specific exercises to incorporate learned skills with daily work activities is a high priority at CEC. Laboratory sessions are one-hour sessions in which the student independently puts to use and tests the concepts and skills established during the instructional session.
