Welcome to CeaseFireStrategies!

Please leave your weapons at the door, as they are not needed here. At CeaseFireStrategies, (CFS) we are seeking positive Christian interaction with media and culture. Our mission is to call a cease fire to the culture war, interact with culture, and realize "our war is not against flesh and blood"... (Eph 6:18).

CFS began in book form, to offer strategies for the integration of Christian Faith with Television and Cinema. Cease Fire, the War is Over!,  written by Eric Bumpus and Tim Moranville, was published in 2005 by Xulon Press.

Then, Eric and Tim wished to explore the book's issues further and created The CeaseFireStrategies Show, which ran for 12 episodes on the Blog Talk Radio Network at www.blogtalkradio.com. Branching out, Eric saw the need and possibility that CFS could be a full-blown ministry/organization, and thus, CFS was born.

The CeaseFireStrategies Show ended and took on a new form, as Cultural Diplomacy. Talking with both Christians and non-Christians, Tim Moranville and Eric Bumpus explore strategies for positive interaction, in media and culture, between the two groups. Weapons are left at the door and understanding becomes the name of the game.

Future programming includes: The Film News & Business Report, a show focusing on media-related business and news; Cultivating Cine-philes, an audio podcast discussing the process and art form of filmmaking; as based on 'Cin-posium', a written blog by Mikel Wisler and Andrew Gilbert; and, Movie Moments, a video series, hosted by Eric Bumpus, offering theological reflections on the movies.
