There are many things you should look for in a waterproofing contractor. Delta has them all.

2. Quality Workmanship.

3. No Subcontracting. Ever.

Very few waterproofing companies can claim to have never used a subcontractor in their entire histories. We can. We have been 100% pure on this issue because we believe that nothing less is acceptable. Subcontractors are independent, temporary, for-hire agents who typically perform a variety of tasks besides waterproofing. If a waterproofing company is prepared to subcontract its work, then all of the company's claims about its experience and reputation are meaningless. After all, a waterproofing system is only as good as the crew that installs it. If a company uses subcontractors even occasionally, how can you be sure that you won't be the customer who gets them?

4. Experience.

Our staff has over 25 years of combined waterproofing experience. All we do is waterproofing so we know our job well.

Experience is the key to quality workmanship. That is why Delta has worked hard to become a stable company with very low employee turnover. No Delta employee has ever voluntarily left us to join another waterproofing company. In addition, many "waterproofing" companies also do roofing, siding, home improvement, remodeling, etc. Do you really want to entrust your home to a company that only spends 20 to 30% of its time on waterproofing? At Delta, all we do is waterproofing and related structural repair work, as well as mold remediation.

Delta  offers a full written warranty, but also the confidence that we will be here to honor it.

Most waterproofing companies offer a lifetime guarantee. (Fewer companies offer a full refund in the event that their waterproofing system fails, .) But a guarantee is only meaningful if the company that stands behind it is solid. Unfortunately, waterproofing companies seem to come and go. Delta is a stable, family-owned business and is secure. You can have confidence that we will be around to honor your warranty.

6. Mold

Delta  is one of relatively few waterproofing companies that also perform mold remediation. We find this puzzling, because knowledge of mold is critical in assessing a waterproofing situation. Blindly waterproofing a moldy basement can be careless or even dangerous, as the act of waterproofing can disturb latent mold spores and spread them throughout a home. Delta  has the experience to advise a homeowner of possible mold issues before starting a waterproofing job.

7. Family-owned company. Not a Franchise.

Delta  has one management team, one set of high standards for workmanship and customer service across all of our offices. The problem with franchises is that quality and service vary dramatically, depending upon the local owner and employees. Franchises allow inexperienced owners to set up shop under an established name and then advertise that their company has been in business since 1808. But don't be misled - the individual franchisee has not been around that long, and may have a poor reputation. With Delta , you won't be gambling your home on the quality of your local franchise owner.

8. Licensing & Insurance

Delta  is of course licensed, insured and bonded where necessary. You should never choose a contractor without asking to for proof of insurance, proper licensing, etc.We carry at least $1 million in liability insurance on every job we do. We've never had a claim - but it's nice to know it's there.
