I START ALL MY DAYS THE WAY OTHERS WISH THEY HAD THE NERVE TO. I LIVE BY MY OWN MOTTO WHICH IS, WHEN I AM FINALLY OLD, I DON'T WANT TO SAY, "I WISH I HAD DONE THAT." SO I CAN HONESTLY SAY, I HAVE LIVED MY LIFE TO THE FULLEST. AND I CONTINUE TO MAKE EVERYONE OF MY DAYS FULL OF WONDERFUL MEMORIES.
BUT BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO READ ABOUT ME, I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT MY HARLEY DAVIDSON SHORT STORIES ARE ABOUT MY LIFE, WITH A LITTLE FICTION ADDED IN. WHEN I WRITE, I OPEN MY LIFE TO EVERYONE SO THAT WHEN YOU READ MY STORIES, YOU CAN FEEL LIKE YOU ARE LIVING MY LIFE WITH ME All ALL OVER AGAIN. YOU WILL JOIN ME DURING MY HARLEY DAVIDSON YEARS.
My name is Cleora Irene (Louey) Comer, known to many as Clea. I was born on December 7, 1949 in Massena, New York to Reginald and Ruth Louey. Along with five brothers. Reg, Wayne, Jerry, Terry and Carey. Went to school, from kindergarten till tenth grade in Winthrop, at St. Lawrence Central then moved to Dickinson, where we owned a farm, and finished out my school years at Brushton Moira. Married, for the first time, in 1969 and had two children, Scott and Shari. Scott has one son and Shari has a daughter and son.
In 1983, I took a big step and left New York and drove across the US to Green Valley California. I made this decision to move away from all my family with the determination of starting fresh and doing something with my life that made a difference and a purpose.
The first thing I did, after I moved to California, was buy my first motorcycle, a 1949 Harley Davidson Panhead. Which I rebuilt and learned to ride. (Along with the Harley came the tattoos). Then I bought a 1991 Harley Springer Softail. Going one step further, I bought a Harley ProGas drag bike, and raced for 1 1/2 years.
While I was riding, For the first fifteen years, I became interested in body building and competed in the first four of those years. Winning or placing second in all four years. After competing, I became a personal trainer for the elder and handicapped. (Donating my spare time at Elder day care and nursing homes). At the same time,I also competed in arm wrestling which put me in the world chanpionships, which were filmed in the movie, "Over the Top". Six of my body buiding years I worked for a construction company and was a heavy equipment operator and grade checker.
After a divorce, which my ex stole my 49 panhead, I then moved to Laguna Beach, California. Where I worked for a temp agency and became secretary's for different lawyers.
One night, While celebrating the news that another bout of cancer was removed, I met my now present husband, David Comer.
My husband David and I moved to San Clemente, California. While we lived there we also bought a place in Salsipuedes, Mexico. After a year of vacations, we packed up and moved into our Mexician home. After four wonderful years, the land was sold. Loving Mexico, made moving back to the states out of the question, so we moved to another place south of Rosarito, at K-38 in Camp Martha. Where we spend much of our time surfing and walking our dogs on the beach. I also spend my time writing my stories and working in my flower garden. My husband David, is a surfboard glasser and shaper. We have our own shop at our home plus he shows his boards at K-38 surf shop, where he assist in the daily operation.
He is 6', long blond hair, with a goatee. I am mentioning this because I wrote my character, Dradd, in "Just DeEtta" before I met my husband. Not realizing that my dream man, Dradd, would come to life in my husband, David. I also used my husband and our life together and came up with my new character Cole in my short story, My Harley, My Man and Me". Where a hard core biker chick meets a surfer. Showing that you can combine two different worlds, when Love prevails.
I am now currently working on my third Harley short story and am taking a different road. It is about a biker chick who is also an undercover cop. Her life is just the way she wants it until she is given the job of going undercover on her biker turf to bust a drug ring. Making her life more complicated, the drug dealer she has been trained to bust opens her heart to love. I took chance and am making my male charater a tall, well built, black male.
so stay tuned and read more about a bikers life of the good and the bad.
I am also a three time cancer survivor
