
My name is Chris Collins. I am a certified personal trainer, holding certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise, and the Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas. I have been a professional trainer now for over 9 years, many of those being with one of the very top companies in the Health Club industry. However, after a while, I became disillusioned as the "Corporate Bottom Line" was clearly what my employers were much more interested in - even above the individual best interests of our training clients. It was then, in 2006, that I left the large health club and decided to take my clients with me and go back to being an independent trainer so I could focus on how much good I could do for my clients - instead of how much cash I could get them to hand over. In fact, after leaving the large health club, I lowered my hourly rates for training.
I understand that everyone has very different needs, whether they want to just lose fat, bulk up with muscle, or train for a specific sport or activity. I have several years experience training people from all walks of life, including children, men and women of all ages and backgrounds, and many athletes, ranging from amateur school sports to professional football players, fighters, runners, and cyclists. I offer Personal Training services based out of my Martial Arts School and fitness gym in Hurst, Texas. In addition, I offer in-home training options. Recently, I have begun to offer online training service to enable people who don't have the time to keep a regular training appointment, or for those who wish to receive top-notch training help but don't live in an area that is geographically feasible to train with me in person.
Your exercise programs will be very specifically designed for you, and will change often, as is necessary to continue to experience results. This is not just a generic program that everyone receives. We will be altering your exercise and diet programs as you have success and your needs in these areas evolves.
Both in-person and online clients will have access to me through email and phone contact to help us in our original planning of your program, and also to stay in touch as necessary to make necessary changes as you progress, and to answer any other questions you may have.
For online clients, I will provide you with very specific exercises, including pictures and videos to be emailed to you as we reach those specific exercises. I will also give you a detailed cardiovascular workout program, including what types of cardio to do, for how long, how often, and even at what optimal heart rate you will want to maintain in order to achieve your best results.
The dietary program will be very specific as well, including amount of calories to eat, and what percentage of macro-nutrients (fats, carbohydrates, proteins), should make up what portion of your diet. I will also provide you with information on healthy cooking recipes, as well as the best options if you must eat on the go.
When making my recommendations for supplements, etc, you may of course purchase them wherever you wish. I will, however, provide you with the names of stores and internet sites which I know to carry the highest quality products at the best prices, to help you save money while still getting the products you need to succeed.
Online service is purchased by paying for 1 month at a time. Further services may be purchased as necessary for continuing months. If you do continue your online training program with me, reduced rates will be available for clients who wish to commit to long-term training.
In-person clients will purchase packages of 10 or more sessions, to be used as we schedule them. Cancellations of appointments require 24 hours notice.
