*Prof. Clemenceau walked in five minutes late.*
"Sorry I am late, two students were fighting in the corridor on my way here down to the dungeons. Its not very often that I make my way down here, only to teach potions."
*Walked over to the cupboard and pulls out the potion that he had made during the last lesson called the Draught of Peace. He drunk the potion.*
"Ah, much better! I knew that potion would come in handy one day."
*As he talked a look of calmness fell over his face, his body seemed to be more calm as well.*
"As you have just witnessed, this potion works extremely fast, in fact I feel like one million galleons right now! Well enough about that, its time to start the lesson. As I was coming around viewing your potions as you were making them last week, I noticed that a few of you had trouble getting the color right. How did you cope with it?"
*Waited for students to have time to mentally think about their answer.*
"Did some of you put more pus in your potion? How about bring the water to a simmer? If you did either of those you did follow the directions of the ingredients. How, many of you started over? Starting over is what most witches and wizards tend to do, and in fact its exactly what all the textbooks say, but I have come up with a much easier way that does waste so many ingredients some of which are quite expensive. I usually just whip out my wand and say 'reparo' which then fixes what ever I did wrong. This only works though when you've added to much of one ingredient."
*Walked over to the chalk board and erases last weeks assignment. Then walked back to the front of the class.*
"How many of your forgot to let the those two ingredients mix themselves? I noticed that some of you mixed them. How did you deal with that? Did you just continue on? Or did you get out more of the ingredients and let themselves mix? Well if you did the first one, again you were breaking the number one rule in potions, ALWAYS follow the instructions. The book would have again told you to waste more ingredients and re-mix them. If you followed the book, you were by no means wrong, but there is a simplier way to do it."
*Motioned the students up to the side table, next to his cauldron. Took the hellebore and ashwinder eggs and mixes them himself.*
"Now, how many of you remember the charm 'accio'?"
*Pointed his wand at the bowl with the mixture. Then grabbed a container.*
"Accio hellebore."
*The two ingredients split and the hellebore went into the container that he was holding.*
"See nothing to it! Now remember to always think out side the box so to speak when dealing with your potion making. OH will you just look at the time. Lets continue on with our next lesson! Get back to your seats please.*
*Walked over to the front of the classroom, and wrote Memory Potion on the chalk board. Followed by the ingredients found in this potion. While he wrote he also gave the students instructions.*
"Ah, well it looks like I won't have time to actually make the potion for you today, but this is an easier potion and you should be able to follow the step by step directions I will give today."
*Turned around and faced the class.*
"The memory potion surprisingly enough only has two ingredients. Water and Jobberknoll feathers. How simple. The key here though is the concentration of this potion. The jobberknoll feathers must be even spread throughout the entire potion, if it is not then the potion will not work because you are only drinking water."
"Lets talk about the ingredients a little bit. The water delutes the feathers and makes the feathers a liquid form. The word jobbernowl actually means 'stupid person', you must be thinking to yourself, how could a bird that is named stupid person be the key ingredient of a memory enhancement potion. Simply because throughout the birds life it never makes a sound but at the end of the jobberknowl's life it makes a long and loud scream and it repeats every noise it has ever heard."
*Opened up the textbook in front of him on his desk.*
"Now if everyone would please open to page 263 you will see a picture of the jobberknoll."

"So its time to now begin the instructions on how to make the potion."
*Just as he said that the bell to let class out rang lougly as usual.*
"Ok, well I was hoping to get it all in, but I didn't so you will have to read page 123 tonight for homework, and be ready to start making your potion tomorrow. Have a great day!"

The Memory Potion:

The Memory potion is very simple to make. All that is needed is a cauldron over a fire, about a half gallon of water, and jobberknoll feathers. You begin by bringin the water to a boil. Let the water boil for 20.234 minutes. This must be exact! After the water has boiled for the alotted time rip the feathers apart and slowly mix them into the boiling water. Bring the water to a simmer for 30 seconds then back to a boil for a full minute and a half. After that stir the potion for 10 minutes making sure the feathers are thoroughly mixed it and there is no lumpy spots or areas of high concentration. Let sit over night then use a phial to store.
