PAX CHRISTI | PEACE OF CHRIST
a warm welcome to Sts. Peter and Paul Catechism Ministry–
This Ministry focuses on the fundamental beliefs and practices of the Roman Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church is the world's largest, and Christianity's oldest, religious body. Her 1.1 billion members occupy the width and breadth of the earth, comprising almost one-six the total human population. She is far and away the most popular religious belief the world has ever known. Ironically, however, the Catholic Church is also the world's most controversial religious concept. Catholic belief is different, too different to be orthodox, say Protestants. Catholic belief is too ethereal to be logical, and too strict to be enjoyable, say the humanists. Hence to millions of people, Catholicism is not only a massive success; it is also a massive mystery.
Protestants and others who have questions about Catholic belief too often make the mistake of going to the wrong place for the answers. Too often books written by religious incompetents are consulted. The result is incomplete and distorted information. The right place to go for information about Catholic belief is the Catholic Church herself. This website was created by a Catholic who knows the questions you are likely to ask, as well as the answers.
Hundreds of Catholics each year are led to doubt their faith because they do not know the biblical basis of it. What is the biblical basis of the Catholic faith?
To begin, let us remind ourselves of the words of Jesus Christ regarding unity:
"That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given to them: that, they may be one, as we also are one." (John 17:21-22) Douay-Rheims Bible
Some common questions people often ask about the Catholic church include:
Do Catholics Worship Mary and the Saints ?
Why do Catholics Confess their Sins to a Priest ?
What is the Rosary ?
Why do Catholics pray to Mary and other Saints ?
What is the Mass ?
What is Purgatory ?
and so on...
All these questions will be addressed on this web site.
Jesus'
"Brothers" and Mary's Perpetual Virginity
In this article
Catholic Apologist Mark J. Bonocore present this argument ecumenically
using Scripture alone, to prove that these “brothers” and “sisters” are
NOT the children of Joseph and Mary, and that the belief in Mary’s
perpetual virginity is in no way refuted by the New Testament.

The Primacy of Peter, the Papacy and Apostolic Succession
In this article
Catholic Apologist Mark J. Bonocore answers an anti-Papal author who
writes "Of immense importance to the question of leadership of the
church today is the issue of the Apostle Peter and doctrine of
apostolic succession. It has already been demonstrated that Peter was
not the first bishop of the first church. " [ Read the article...

biblical arguments trying to demonstrate that. Now, as a Catholic, he
is a leading defender of the Catholic Church and in this discussion he
gives you step-by-step answers to some of the most common arguments
thrown at Catholics. You'll learn how to engage in apologetics with

for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. --
Jude 3 [KJV]--
In your hearts reverence
Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who
calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness
and reverence. --1 Peter 3:15 [RSV]--

all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.
