Sponsorship

Attn Potential Sponsors:

It's a new season for Cannons football! After the inaugural season which saw the Carroll County Cannons go from eighty hopefuls that came out every Saturday to East Middle School in Westminster looking to play semi pro football to a team that finished their inaugural season at a respectable 4-4. The Cannons eventually lost their new rivals to the west the Frederick Outlaws in the first round of the playoffs.
The 2007 season brought many things such as Minor League Football News announcing that Cannons players QB John Luster,Kicker Bill Shoemaker and FB Brad Durden making the MLFN All-East team which is selected by coaches and owners of other teams. Several hundred fans came out to South Carroll High School during the season to support Carroll County's newest semi pro football team. Because of the success at the gate the Cannons were able to raise funds for the Winfield Recreation Council's Lacrosse and Football programs.
The Cannons also gave back to the community by being apart of the annual "Kids Day" for recently adoptive and children that are still in foster care for Carroll County. During our time there the players signed autographs, played football and most importantly acted as a mentor to these young kids.
Just recently, the Cannons held their first annual Santa Bowl at Taneytown Memorial Park on December 1st. With the couple hundred fans that showed up on a chilly day we were able to completely fill a cargo van full of toys that the Marine Reserves came in to benefit Toys for Tots for Carroll, Baltimore and Harford counties. Local Carroll County businesses stepped up by donating money to help cover operational costs and prizes that were given away during the game.
The year is 2008 and it is time to get ready for another spring season of hard hitting action in the East Coast Football Alliance. Another record number of hopefuls came out and now that the team is ready we are asking you for your support. Semi - Pro Football players must pay dues to play and buy their own gear which can range anywhere from $250 - $500. These players that do this play for the love of the game and with the hope that a chosen few will be able to move to the next level such as professional indoor or arena football.
In order to keep cost down for the players and provide the with the necessary equipment to run a successful and first rate program we have to turn to sponsors for help. Last season our sponsors included:
  •  Aquino and Wolpoff
  • Dairy Queen/ Orange Julius
  • The Luster Group of Long and Foster
  • Buffalo Wild Wings
  • Time Out Sports Grille
  • Five Guys
  • Janet Kraus of Long and Foster
  • Chick- Fil-A
So much goes into running a semi pro football team which includes league and referee dues, purchasing indoor time during the winter and spring for the players to practice when there is no field space.Team transportation to certain away games and most importantly making sure that the players have all the necessary equipment to replace broken gear and making sure trainers have everything at their disposal to treat any player that is injured.
The Cannons are a non profit organization and all monies collected go right back into the program. We have come up with several packages to meet your sponsorship needs. Please take a look at our various sponsorship levels and consider being apart of the newest craze sweeping Carroll County.
