The Creator of the universe and King of the heavens wants to have an intimite relationship with YOU!  "Why me?" you ask?  I cant understand how He could associate with a sinner like me either, it is beyond our finite minds, considering we are the living epitome of contrast to His character of Love, Holiness, and Justice. Yet he is Love and though we are not, He has given us that choice because for him to force us to love Him and obey him would not be love at all and the Father knows this. If i made you love me or else I'ld destroy you, then you wouldn't truly love me. True love involves choice.  Unfortunatly for us, even if we make that choice there is still a massive chasm seperating us from God. Because of our sin we cannot come into the presence of God because he can not bear to have us near him. Romans 3:23 says "we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God," and Isaiah 64:6 says "All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away." We are all sinful by our very nature. Like a dog births a dog and that dog has the character of the dog before it, it barks, it sheds, it sniffs you where it shouldn't, so we as humans inherit sinfulness at birth. This sin makes us disgusting to God, even our righteous acts fall short. So this means that we cannot come into His presence or enter heaven by doing good deeds either. "How then are we to be rescued from our unrighteousness!?!" It seemed like an issue that had left us hanging with no chance for redemption. In Romans 4:13 it speaks of how Abraham recieved salvation: "It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith." He was among many great men to eagerly await what God had planned. Who lived as if it was all there was to live for and believe it would happen although it would never happen in their day. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Elijah, Elishah, David, Solomon, Josiah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and all the rest of the prophets of the OT.  The plan God had was to redeem mankind to Him so he could be with them once again. So he could have an intimite relationship with all of His children. Our problem was two-fold. Our problem is two-fold. We have sin that we cannot get rid of and righteousness we cant get.  Here is the shocker: God could have snapped his fingers and fixed the problem illigitimatly, but hten He would still have the love issue to deal with, cause he cant make us love him and call it real love. So God, The King of all things, worthy to be praised by all things and beings, angels and men, plants and animals, and even the sun and the stars, took off His crown adn steepped down from Heaven into our disgusting wrietched sewer of a world when compared to the Father's heavenly throne. He stepped down and took on all our infirmities, iniquities, and short comings, and recieved for himself the punishment due to us all, from the beggining to the end of time and paid the price. Subjected to the worst death known to mankind, to this day, fulfilling more prophesies in his death alone then i have fingers and toes.  He suffered what we deserved. That took care of our sin, but still we have the lack of righteousness, the righteousnes we cant obtain, so on the third day the lord rose from the dead as a new creation in all righteousness and he offers rebirth to anyone who will recieve it.
