How do we represent our dogs?
What messages if any, are we trying to send to the
public?
Are our messages being heard?
Our web visits to some American Pit Bull Terrier sites with absolutely gorgeous dogs have led us to believe that many
kennels do not know how to best represent their dogs in a positive way that
could make a vast difference.
One site had on it's pups page, " Monsters For sale", we ask you, to whom are these dogs being
sold?
Personally, if I was in the market for a dog, I would quickly move on to another site.
We feel that if an owner cannot properly represent his pack, then he/she probably does'nt know
the history of his dogs and why they should be represented in a positive manner.
There is no doubt that many of our American Pit Bull Terriers are ending up in the wrong hands, for example,
one kennel we called asking about the price of their dogs and the history of their bloodline,
quickly told us to "go to hell", added to that, they could not produce pedigrees for their
dogs.
Below are examples of ad headings we took off of the classifieds.
"ATTENTION: WE HAVE A CHEAP ASS FEMALE 4 SALE.." on their breedings page the heading reads,
"Meeting of the MONSTERS"
Another Ad read "DONT HESITATE phat ass deal on My LIL Bullies"
Yet Another read, "Big Evil Male"
Another', "BADASS PUPS FOR {CHEAP}"
One more??? "MONSTER BREEDING JUST WENT DOWN "
THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A HUGE PROBLEM HERE!!!.
We are challenging these kennesl to "GET EDUCATED"!!!!
CBB asks, how old are these kennel owners, exactly what do they know about our American Pitbull Terriers?
We urge you to please do not support kennels such as these, owners such as these should be banned
totally from having any pets.
We visited another site to see how they represented their dogs and it was'nt surprising that
their total site degraded what our dogs truly stand for.
Their graphics (dog pictures) were terrible but their text that said "Cash in hand" was clear.
For these Kennels it's all about the cash.
As a matter of fact, it was so much about the cash that they did'nt take time to get good pictures.
In the bottom of their pages was a banner that said , "Punish the deed not the breed".
That's all well and good, but we have news for them, they are punishing the breed.
Wether you own one dog or a kennel, it is your responsibility to inform and educate, no matter
how many times it's asked of you.
If you cannot do so , you should move on to another hobby, one that does not involve
living, breathing animals.
