We have noticed that the new trend is placing multiple ad banners on homepages.
Considering that many people still have dial up, we should consider trying
a homepage with less graphic content.
I just move to the next site when one takes too long to load.
The more graphics you have on your pages, the longer it will take to load.
Placing other site banners on your home page often distracts visitors form viewing the
your personal content. It is always a better idea to place banners on another page, possibly links.
Survey says, that the simplest sites with the most educational content are the ones
mostly respected by the masses.
Having a flashy site may impress some, but again think of a simple classified ad and
what it can and has done.
If you insist on placing banners on your site, consider editing their sizes to possibly
half of its original, this may increase your loading time.
Next issue we will explain" bandwidth" and how graphics , musics affects it.
We gurantee you with a more effictive site you will attract tons more visitors.
Make your site easy to navigate, check all links , be sure they work.
Your text should be clear and easy to read, which means that it should sit well on your
background and fonts should be clear.
Having a site that attracts "Quality Visitors" is imperative, please don't settle for less.
Sites with foul language, cursing, bad gestures, human skeletons, graveyards, and dogs facing off etc, just degrades
the breed and clearly states a kennel's attitude and possible
un-willingness to learn of and help save the breed.
Some Kennels breed to attract "THUGS" so all of their contents and themes are "THUG".
We ask, how many 'THUGS" are fighting for our dogs, how many even know of BSL and our struggles.
We see a lot of sites with skelleton backgrounds and people with guns etc and wonder, how do
these images represent the dogs? how is that supposed to attract decent people.
These very kennels talk about saving the breed.
Another kennel had Growling Audio, and the words "Big Ass Pits" on it's home page.
This same kennel has the words (Big Ass Monster )written on their pages as a descriptipn of their
dogs.
Where is the positive in this description.??
These owners/breeders have no clue how hard we are struggling every minute of every day
to save these dogs.
They don't know of our constant fight against ignorant law-makers..
Placing a banner on your site that says "Punish The Deed Not The Breed" "WILL NOT" save
these dogs.
Doing so also does not make you an advocate.
If at this time that is the best that you can do, then maybe you should consider owning a
Poodle.
The key is constant education, every day, all day.
Some Kennels place on their sites various themes that do not represent our dogs and where we hope
to take them.
Wonder why our dogs are being targeted? maybe we need to look at ourselves and our efforts
when promoting them.
