Beautiful cave house with wonderful views in a lovely location, above Galera village. It offers year round accommodation. It stays cool in summer and warm in winter (18 - 20 degrees C.). Amazing views of the surrounding mountains, forests and gorges. Nearby there are facilities for touring, hiking, riding and it's close to local towns with regular markets and fiestas.

7 nights for the price of 6 and 14 nights for the price of 13 plus heating cost pro rata (Logs). An information booklet is provided in the cave. Accommodation

Bedrooms:	Bedroom 1: Double Bed & wardrobe with room off with travel cot (no extra charge). Bedroom 2: Single bed & wardrobe.
Bathroom:	Walk-in shower, toilet, ornate andalucian wash basin. Window to outside.
Kitchen Area:	Electric hob, fridge/freezer, microwave/grill, andalucian sink, tiled work surface, toaster & electric kettle and Dining area with table seating for four.
Living Area:	Sitting room with open fire, bed-settee, DVD, radio/CD player and window to hall.
Entrance:	Large entrance corridor with windows to outside, adjacent to front door which leads to living area and bathroom, washing machine, small area outside, adjacent to the front door.
Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service:	Towels and linen included. Changed weekly.

The Cave is cut into the hillside with windows to the front & side and is very well furnished for all your needs.

The village of Galera has 2 small supermarkets, bakeries, chemist, doctor's surgery, about 5 or 6 bars and restaurants.

Galera is situated in an area surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife; offering peace and tranquility with nature. Within a few miles drive you can see green valleys, limestone gorges, castles, lakes, spring fed swimming pools and forests. Witness eagles fly overhead.

In under 1.5 hours you can be swimming in the Med or exploring the incredible Alhambra Palace. If you feel less energetic, hang out in the area and meet your trogladyte neighbours who hail from the UK, Spain and elsewhere.

Activities include abseiling, rowing, rock climbing, hiking, biking, horse riding, fishing and of course swimming.

Where is Galera?

Galera lies in the province of Granada, in the Andalucian part of Southern Spain, on the A330, which runs from the excellent A92 dual carriageway running between Granada and Murcia. Galera is about 30km north of Baza, the nearest major city to be found on most maps of Spain. Galera is about midway between the beautiful city of Granada and Murcia both about 150km distance.

Galera is about two hours drive, on very good dual carriageway, from the airports of Malaga, Alicante and Almeria . There are also international airports at Murcia which is around 1 hour 45 minutes away, and Granada which is around 1 hour 30 minutes away.

A new major international airport is under construction to the west of Murcia and is scheduled for completion in late 2004. The new Murcia airport will be running low cost charter flights to many UK airports and will be less than one hours drive, on excellent roads from Galera.

Granada airport is now international and accepting Ryanair flights from Stanstead and Liverpool airports & Monarch flights from Gatwick. Galera is around one and a half hours away from the airport, again on excellent roads.
