Easy to follow pattern, I made this one when I was not aware that I needed to convert crochet terms. So I made this all in trbl instead of dc.
I would have had a tighter effect.



Little Hello Kitty Purse
materials needed: crochet hook size4.00, worsted yarn colors white for purse,
pink (or color of your choice) for strap, red for bow, black for whiskers.
small amount of black and yellow felt, yarn needle for sewing, stitch marker, craft glue
finished size is about 4" long and 6" wide
gauge: 7sc=2"
2rows=1"
purse:
make 2
with white:
row 1: ch 16
sc across, ch 1 turn (15sc)
row 2: 2sc in 1st st, sc to last st, 2sc in last st, ch 1 turn (17sc)
row 3: repeat row 2 (19sc)
rows 4-11: sc across, ch 1 turn
row 12: sc dec, sc across to last 2 sts, sc dec in last 2 sts (17sc)
finish off
face wrong sides together and join white yarn with sl st
at one corner of row 12
ch1, sc evenly down purse sides and across purse bottom, then up other side, join with sl st and finish off
weave in any loose ends
purse body is complete now
ears: make 2
with white:
(do not join rounds, use stitch marker instead and move marker after each round)
rnd 1: ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch frm hook, place marker
rnd 2: *sc* around (6sc)
rnd 3: *2sc in next st, sc in next st* around (9sc)
rnd 4: *2sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts* around (12sc)
rnd 5: *sc* around
leave long end for sewing then finish off
bow: with red
center piece:
ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook, join, finish off
sides: make 2
row1: ch3, sc across, ch1 turn (2sc)
row2: 2sc in next st, sc in next st, 2 sc in last st, ch 1 turn (5sc)
row3: 2sc in next st, sc in next 3sts, 2 sc in last st (7sc)
leave long end for sewing then finish off
to assemble the bow, take each side piece, touching row1 together
overlap one on top of the other a little bit, then sew them together,
then place the center piece on top, and sew that tightly on
strap:
with pink or strap color
ch 100, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across, finish off
assembly:
take the ears and sew them shut at rnd 5
sew each ear to each corner of purse 'head' at rnd 12
sew the ears through both thicknessess of the purse, so that the ears don't flop
sew your bow to the right ear, at an angle
sew the strap to the inside of the purse, next to each ear
face:
with black yarn, sew 3 whiskers to each side of the face
with black felt, cut 2 oval shaped eyes, glue them to the center of the purse
near rnds 5-6
with yellow felt, cut a small oval for the nose and glue this just below the eyes
