Semi Finals of the Scottish Cup and dundee West were right up for it on the way on their bus journey. West started of not to well and werent playing the football they can normally produce. After the half time talk the West started playing the football they can play , after a silly mistake the West went down 1-0. Dundee West thought hard to bring it back with several shots on goal and finally the goal came from Nicola Webb after a cross was put in the box the ball came back out and just from outside the box Webby took a touch and lobbed the keeper.... 1-1. West kept fighting hard to get the winner and finally after a long pass from Cat Gallagher to Nicola Webb , Webby played the ball back to Tammy Harkin , Tammy hit it from far out , the ball hit the inside of the post then went through the keepers legs and into the back of the net 2-1 to DUNDEE WEST!!! Final score was 2-1 Dundee West this was a well deserved win for the West. Dundee West look foward to playing Kilmarnock in the final and hopefully this season they can bring the silverware back to Dundee!!!
Scottish Cup Quarter Finals!
After beating Cove Rangers in the second round of the Scottish Cup Dundee West were up against the West coast league winners Hutchison Vale. West knew this was going to be a hard game so they had to play as a team from ko. West beat hutchie 4-1. O the day West played the better football and deserved to get into the semis. Dundee West look forward to playing Muireston in the semis of the Scottish Cup!!!

Dundee West would like to congratuate the following players on being selected for the CYP Scotland training camp. The girls will still be on selection at the camp , if they are succesful then they will be going to ireland to play against CYP Northern Ireland , CYP Southern Ireland , CYP England and CYP Wales.

The following 7 players have been selected for the second CYP u/17's trial. They all proved them selfs to the selectors that they were good enough to go onto the second trial. Dundee West would just like to wish the 8 players good luck for the next trial.

Well done to Cat Gallagher and Kim Thomson who have been picked for Scotland u/17's. Cat and Kim went to Holland to play against Russia, England and Republic of Ireland. Well done girls!!!

Beth Adamson, Michaela Brodie, Cat Gallagher , Tammy Harkin and Kimberly Thomson have all been selected to for a U/17's Scotland trial on the 27th of February. Dundee West would just like to wish the good luck for the trials!
NRGFL indoor 5's!
Dundee West had two teams in the NRGFL indoor 5's tournament. Both teams had done very well through out the tournament with the Dundee West A team reaching the final and the Dundee B team just missing out on a semi final spot by a couple of points.
The a team were up against Aberdeen in the semi finals, Aberdeen took an early lead and went up 2 goals, the West were then awarded a penalty where they calmly put the ball in the back of the net to make it 2-1. With about a minute to go Dundee West pulled bk a 2nd goal for the game to go into extra time. Dundee West battled hard and scored another goal to secure their place in the final.
The game wasnt going Dundee Wests way and Stonehaven were awarded with two penalties. The first one, the Dundee keeper whilst still standing inside her box had picked up the ball, while the ball was outside the box, initially the referee had given a free kick from that position to Dundee, but in the confusion, a penalty was then awarded. Dundee West then gave away another penalty and Stonhaven took the lead with 2 goals. West had a penalty claim as the Stonehaven keeper threw the ball out over arm , West had already received a penalty for this in the semi - final but they never got given it in the final. Stonehaven held on to their two goals and were winners of the NRGFL indoor fives tournament. Congratualtions to Stonehaven and to both Dundee West teams on doing so well throughout the tournament.
