10/9/04- Okay there is a slight change of plans for the band. We have decided to have David O'Connor be the singer. We have had a few practices with him and things are going swell. We wrote one new song with him called This is not Freedom. We all really like it and I can't wait until everyone else hears it cause it is awesome. Well I will still be singing in our original songs including My Crucifixation, Brave New World, Transylvanic Suburbia, Low Class Locals, and What We Are. David will be singing some verses of those songs as well. Most of the band will be joining in on choruses as planned. Well we may be playing a show at the FLY in Sarasota on November 14th at 9PM but we're not sure yet. I hope to see you guys at the show at MHS on November 6th at 3PM(see the shows page). Thanks.
-Sean Lewis
9/25/04- Today Matt, Dustin, and I had a practice at Matt's house. We went over about 4 songs with Dustin. We have decided(for now anyway) that we are going to go without a lead singer and just be a 3 -piece and have everyone in the band sing. I will be singing all of our old songs and the new songs to come that I write with Matt and Dustin joining in on some choruses and Dustin will be singing any songs that he writes with Matt and I on choruses also. We are scheduled to play a show on November 6th at Manatee High School with a lot of other bands...it'll be like a battle of the bands but there is no battle. Some of the bands schedule to play are Farewell Verona, Broken Image, Eversfield, Far From Elsewhere, DBM, Mike's new band, and some others. So we are looking forward to that and so should you. Well, yesterday was Sean's birthday so he is now 16. Well actually I am Sean so it was my birthday. I got a 1979 piss yellow Mercedes Benz. I just thought I should share that information with all of you. I will be rolling around in my old granny car as soon as I get my license in November. Well, I guess that's all I have to say right now so thanks for everything and support your local bands.
-Sean Lewis
9/11/04- Alright, since Mike has left the band I have been asked a few questions. "Is the CatAtoNiX still going to be a band?" "Who is gonna play guitar?" "Who is going to sing?" "Are you still gonna sound the same?" Well I have some answers to those questions. First of all we called Dustin Overstreet(our ex-lead guitarist) and asked him if he was up for playing with us again. He said yes and then we had filled our most important void. From that point I thought that I was just gonna sing and we would be a 3-piece band. Then, recently I talked to David O'Connor(drummer for DBM) and he brought up the idea of him singing for us. Well, I found it a good idea so what we are going to do is experiment with this lineup for a little bit and if it goes well then we will continue as a band. I'm not sure if we are going to keep the same band name but for right now it doesn't really matter to me. So it will be Matt Sconberg-drums, Sean Lewis-bass/backup vox, Dustin Overstreet-guitar, and David O'Connor-vox. I'm not sure how much different the band will sound but I'm just letting you know that this isn't a permanent lineup, it is merely an experiment for the time being. Thanks to everyone who is a fan and/or still supports us.
-Sean Lewis
9/5/04- To anyone that's interested, though I doubt any of you are, I just wanted to let everyone know that I quit the band and why I did. Though the 6 months I played with the CatAtoNiX were the most musically productive months of my life as a musician(if I'm even worthy of that title), I felt I was moving in a different musical direction than Matt and Sean. I always have and always will be in love with punk rock, but there's a side of me that can't help but long to experiment with reggae, dance hall, dub and ska, which to me are the most beautiful sounds in the universe. I'm not sure if Matt and Sean plan on finding a new guitar player or not, but I hope they do. Some of our songs I decided to take with me because they are too personal to allow anyone else to sing, but some I am turning over to Sean because I think they should be carried on. So to Matt and Sean, and anyone who came to a CatAtoNiX show, I would just like to say that the pleasure was all mine. Thank you.
-Michael Philip Tokars(former guitar/vox)
9/2/04- Sorry for not updating in a while to all of you that care. Well anyway, we are not playing the show as planned on September 10th at the church for a couple of reasons. First of all, Tony (he's in charge of the youth group place that the bands play at) told us that they have already booked a lot of bands and there may not be enough room for us. We were gonna go there and bring our stuff with us just in case they had time for us to play but then Matt told us that he had his first football game that he will be in the drumline for and that he was doing some all night sleep in that they do each first game. So, for that reason he wouldn't be able to play the show at all. There is some news about that show in the shows page just in case you would like to go anyway. Well, Oct. 8th is the next show at that church and I think that if Matt can get home from his game thingy that night in time that we will be able to play that show but most likely one of the last bands that play. It will be the same time and place as the shows page says about the show next week. Hopefully some of you guys understood that sentence. If not, it doesn't really matter. On to other news, we are supposed to playing a show at the FLY in Sarasota on Saturday, Oct. 2 which is on Tamiami Trail (US41) on next to Burger King and across the street from Ringling College. That show is most likely going to take place but it may not. Make sure you stay posted to the site for later news. I know that we don't have any shows scheduled for September but that's okay because we have been talking about recording a CD that will have over 10 songs on it. It will have all of the songs seen on the lyrics page and more. We are planning on recording that int he next few weeks so stay posted to the site for more information and updates about that. Well, that's all I have to say except happy birthday to Jessica Mooreside this Sunday September 5th. Thanks to all the fans and fags that come onto our site and support us.
-Sean Lewis
8/16/04- As most of you know, we were supposed to play a show last night with The In-Crowd at Rockerfella's. Unfortunately that show was cancelled due to the owner's wife hosting a jazz concert instead. Don't ask us why because we have no idea either. All I have to say is damn those bastards. Well, I am sorry to anyone who made plans to see the show and came to realize it was cancelled. I couldn't do anything about it. But thanks anyway for wanting to come see us. For now, we are supposed to be playing the next Base Camp show at Palma Sola Bay Baptist Church Friday, September 10th at 9pm. I will post more news about that show as soon as I get more details. Please, if anyone out there knows of any shows we can possibly play then contact us by using the contact info on the shows/contact page. We are a wee bit skimpy on the shows at the moment so we need as much help as we can possibly get. Again, thanks to everyone who was planning on coming to see us last night and again I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Support your local bands.
-Sean Lewis
8/11/04- Sorry we haven't updated in a while but today we had a practice. We wrote one new song called More Than a Trend. We will have lyrics up soon for that song. Well, Sunday night, August 15th we will be playing an all ages show at Rockerfella's(5520 14th St. W. Bradenton, FL 34207) with The In-Crowd, Throne, and some other bands. The show starts at 6PM and the cost is between $5 and $10. Everyone should come out to see this show. If you don't like us then come out and see The In-Crowd and Throne play. We will have our new vinyl stickers for free at the show for anyone who is interested. Thanks to all the fans and we hope to see you at the show Sunday.
-Sean Lewis
EXTRA(7/24/04)- Okay our good news has turned into bad news. The show scheduled for tomorrow, July 25th, has been cancelled. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. There will be another show going on at The FLY in Sarasota tomorrow night. The In-Crowd will now be playing there. Read more about this show at www.freewebs.com/wisenheimer/. Or there is some info about it in the guestbook. Now we have a show planned with the In-Crowd at Rockerfella's on Sunday, August 15th. Go to www.theincrowdsucks.com for more info on that show. Again, we are sorry for the cancellation of the show but you should go to the show at The FLY. Thank you.
-Sean Lewis
7/24/04- Mike gets back tonight. Hopefully we will get a practice in before the show tomorrow night. The all ages show starts at 6PM at Rockerfella's and costs $5. The bands include the CatAtoNiX, The In-Crowd, Liberty, and Bensin. After reading one of the "poll" answers someone made me realize that it's not a poll and it's a survey. So I changed the name of the page. Thank you Nicole for telling me that. I don't think it really matters but I've gotten down to a point lately where I'm so bored that I just find things to fix on the site. Thanks to everyone and I hope to see you all at the show tomorrow night.
-Sean Lewis
7/23/04- Alright, we have some good news. I finally got around to talking to JJ Gitterdone of Wisenheimer about making vinyl stickers. He is the same guy who did The In-Crowd's and Wisenheimer's stickers. I ended up making a design and sending it to him. We will be getting 500 stickers on Tuesday, July 27. If you want to see what the stickers will look like then go to the media/merch page. The stickers will be 2 for $1.00. On the media/merch page I give you an address that you can send your money to and I will send you the stickers right away. If you don't want to do that then the stickers can be purchased at any of our shows. The other good news is that Mike is getting back Saturday, I am not going camping this weekend, and Matt is in town. That means that we can play a show at Rockerfella's(5520 14th St. W. Bradenton, FL 34207) with The In-Crowd on Sunday night, July 25th. Right now I have no idea what bands are playing or the time and cost. I should have more info for you very soon so check back. If you don't see any more info about it then come around 6PM and bring about $10. It will most likely be less but that is the most it could possibly be. Check the shows/contact page soon for more info on the show, check out the new stuff on the media/merch page, and also do the new poll on the poll page that I set up a few days ago. Thank you and I hope to see you at the show on Sunday.
-Sean Lewis
7/16/04- I changed the site around a little in the last couple of days. What I did was rename the music page as the media page and I added all of the pictures that were in the pictures page to the new media page. The way that the pictures can be viewed takes up less space and is easier and more organized to me. I also renamed the pictures page as the links page and inserted all of the links that were once on this page onto that page. This way the links will be easier for everyone to look at rather than having to scroll down to the bottom of this page. This is just a temporary setup of the site. In the future if we ever get a merchandise page then all of links will be put back onto the homepage and the links page will become the "merch page". Anything added to the site in the future such as pictures, music, videos, discography, and downloads will be posted on the media page. Thanks to everyone who supports the band and/or local music.
-Sean Lewis
7/9/04- We just had a practice today. It went really well. We got around to teaching Matt the new song, Transylvanic Suburbia. It is probably our fastest song. We also learned the Sublime cover, Bad Fish. Mike decided to just play the song with the original music instead of making up his own parts to it. I guess we're gonna have to teach Matt how to play 6 Bottles Down and Mike's ska song in about 2 weeks because tomorrow Mike is setting off on his journey to California. He will be living there for the rest of high school so we have decided to borrow Andrew Royals from New Breed and use him as our lead singer/guitarist. We just have to wait for him to get back in 2 weeks from his family trip to Tennessee. So our new lineup is going to be Sean-bass/vocals, Matt-drums, and Andrew-guitarist/lead vocals. But you can take that confused/disgusted or possibly relieved/happy look off your face because I made most of that up. Andrew isn't going to be joining the band and isn't on vacation in Tennessee and Mike will be coming back in 2 weeks from California. He goes every summer for 2 weeks. I just thought you guys could take a joke. But maybe not. I thought it was funny but that doesn't matter. We will be practicing more and maybe playing more shows in about a month so I can't wait till it's back to normal. Check back soon for more news and other crap. Thanks for everything.
-Sean Lewis
7/7/04- Yo, I just listened to the new Wisenheimer record "United State of Histeria" and I give you my word that it's totally radical. Not that my word is worth a whole lot, or even anything at all, but everyone should buy it, so ask Mom and Dad to dig their old record player out of some dusty box in the garage because you can only get it on 7" vinyl. It comes with free stickers and a booklet thing with words and other cool stuff, all that for only 3 dollars! Those dudes are doin' this stuff for the right reasons. Anyways, we were on a one month hiatus, but we now have some new material that sucks even more than our old stuff, so most of you idiots will probably hate us even more, after all, only people that hate us, or more particularly me, come onto our website anyways. But hey, we're happy to have you. I talked to my homie Johnny about adding some trumpet stuff to our new songs, he sounded interested, let's keep our fingers crossed. Keep skankin'.
-Myke
I have some other "useless crap" to say and it has nothing to do with the band. This is for everyone who skates, or if you don't skate but take interest in skateboarding. Well, I just wanted to say that I just got this skate video from Matt Helmer. It's called OFS and I am being honest when I say that it is the best skate video that I have ever seen. The video is filmed and edited by John Scarboro. It has full parts from Will Glennon, Matt Moore, Kyle Johnson, James Lockwood, and Matt Helmer, bassist/backup vocals of The In-Crowd. It also has 2 friends sections, a falls section, and a mess-around section including AJ Mika and Mike McCrary of The In-Crowd. It has the best local skating I've ever seen, good music, kickouts caught on tape, and other funny stuff. I don't think they have any more videos but you can see some pictures and sequences from the video at www.geocities.com/breakingthelawvideo/. You may think that those are the best tricks done in the video but, they have much more tricks at different spots. The main reason I think of this video as "the best skate video that I have ever seen" is because it's so awesome seeing people you know skating spots you know and doing the sickest tricks there. I was amazed at James Lockwood's and Matt Helmer's parts. Well, James lived across the street from me for nearly 3 years and he is one of the guys that made me want to start skating in the first place 2.5 years ago and just seeing the stuff that he's done is so cool to me. Also, after becoming friends with Matt through him playing bass in The In-Crowd I started skating with him(although he may not be able to do some of the stuff he used to do) and just seeing what he used to be able do is so amazing to me. Everyone in this video is really good and I hope that some day I'll be as good as at least one of these guys. Any skater(especially any local skater) would appreciate this video. I wish all of you could see it for yourselves but for now just go to that site and you'll see a little bit of what it's about. Thanks for your time.
-Sean Lewis
7/5/04- Mike and I got together today and wrote 4 songs. One song is written entirely by me called Transylvanic Suburbia and another has music written by me and lyrics by Mike called 6 Bottles Down. Mike wrote some music for a ska song but we have no lyrics or title yet. The last song we wrote is a Sublime cover called Bad Fish but Mike changed the music around a little. We still need to run the songs by Matt at our next practice but I'm gonna put the lyrics to 2 of those songs on the lyrics page for now so go and check them out. There's a show at Rockerfella's tomorrow, July 6th. Go to www.theincrowdsucks.com for more info. Thanks for the support and check back soon for more updates.
-Sean Lewis
7/2/04- Hey sorry I haven't updated in forever. We havn't practiced in a long time due to different band members going on vacations. Matt will be gone until the 6th of July. I just got back from a 7-day trip and will be leaving again the 23rd of July and coming back the 25th and then leaving again for 5 days on the 29th. Mike will be leaving for California on the 1oth or 11th og July. So as you can see we are never here and we are really busy. I guess after the summer things will be pretty much back to normal. During our next practices (which we will have to squeeze in between the times that Matt comes back and when Mike hasn't left for California yet) we will be writing some new songs and maybe learning a new cover or two. We don't have any shows scheduled for anytime soon but we are looking for some as long as we are all in town. So if you are looking for bands for a show then contact us by looking at the contact page. Everyone should go to the show at Rockerfella's (5520 14th St. W. Bradenton, FL 34207) on Sunday night(July 4) at 6PM and see The In-Crowd play with a lot of other bands. It is all ages and will probably cost about $10. The show's gonna be awesome so come and support the bands. Check out the website of the awesome Sarasota-based punk band, Wisenheimer. www.freewebs.com/wisenheimer/. Sorry about the slow progression but I will post more news, lyrics, shows, etc. as soon as we get moving a little faster. Thanks and keep supporting local music.
-Sean Lewis
6/15/04- There was a show scheduled for June 27th at Rockerfella's but that show has been cancelled for us. The In-Crowd will still be playing but not us or New Breed as previously planned. We still do not have any shows scheduled but everyone should come out to Palma Sola Bay Baptist Church(4000 75th St. W. Bradenton) and see about 5 local bands play this Friday, June 18, 2004 at 9:30PM. Come support local music. Well as you can see we have changed the whole layout of the site and we have changed the URL of this site to www.thecatatonix.tk and I changed the URL of my Florida's Youth site to www.floridasyouth.tk The old sites will still work but these ones are definitely easier to remember. Please update your favorites/bookmarks to these new URLs. Stay posted for more news, show info, lyrics, etc.
-Sean Lewis
6/9/04- The show on Sunday, June 6th at Rockerfella's went great. We played pretty good and the rest of the bands did and awesome job. Special thanks to Broken Image for helping us get this show. The bands included the CatAtoNiX, Edgewise, The Incoming Tide, Farewell Verona, Suspense Thriller, Richard Dreyfuss..., The In-Crowd, Broken Image, S.U.B., and WARP. Thanks to everyone who came and to all the bands that played. Today I posted pictures from the Battle of the Bands and added a few more pictures from the 5/30/04 Rockerfella's show to the pictures page. Go and check them out. We don't have any shows scheduled at the time but if you know of a show where we can play then please contact us by going to the shows/contact page. Thanks. We are hoping to take this time between shows to write a couple new songs and maybe a new cover. Check back for more news, lyrics, shows, etc.
-Sean Lewis
6/4/04- I just got back from the Battle of the Bands held downtown on Old Main Street. It had a big turnout. Thanks to everyone who came and supported the local bands. The Muphin Chuckrs started off the evening with few songs and they were awesome. They didn't compete because they won last year's Battle of the Bands. But they got to be part of the judge group thingy. Broken Image played after them and put on an awesome show. After them we played and we did pretty well also. The rest of the bands that played after us included DBM, Found, The Lost Marbles, Magic Tree Conspiracy, New Breed, and Nothing Special. All of the bands did really great. The final results of the 2004 Battle of the Teenage Garage Bands were:
1st place - David's Bar Mitzvah(DBM) ($300 and a professionally done 3-5 song demo)
2nd place - Magic Tree Conspiracy ($200)
3rd place - the CatAtoNiX ($150)
4th place - New Breed ($50)
Thanks again to everyone who came to the Battle of the Bands and to all the bands who played. Congratulations to DBM!!! We are playing another show on Sunday night at Rockerfella's. It's at about 6PM and there is more information on the shows page. We should have pictures up from our last show at Rockerfella's and the show tonite at Battle of the Bands. Thanks.
-Sean Lewis
5/30/04- I just got home from the show, and it was totally rad. We played first, and after a small technical difficulty with my amp which was corrected thanks to Mike from The In-Crowd, we rocked. We played 9 songs, a record for the Catatonix, but the set was still barely 20 minutes...but whatever, it's rock and roll. We were followed by The Incoming Tide, Wisenheimer, The In-Crowd, and a bunch of other bands that I didn't stay for. Wisenheimer has always been one of my favorite bands and they upheld that stance with a killer peformance. The In-Crowd played amazing as usual. Thanks to everyone who came out to the show, even if you didn't watch us, thank you for supporting the scene. A big thanks to The In-Crowd for hooking us up with this gig, you guys are rad.
-Mike Tokars
5/25/04- 8 years ago today, Bradley James Nowell, frontman of the band Sublime died...he overdosed on heroin. He left behind a newborn son, a wife, and an amazing collection of songs that will never stop being played. Brad is one of the biggest inspirations to me personally, and one of the most creative, important musicians the world will ever know. Just thinking about all the music that has gone unwritten puts me in a slump of depression that only Sublime's music can pull me out of. I love Sublime, and I won't ever not love them.
to Bradley, rest in peace my brother, you'll always be remembered.

5/25/04- Mike received a call yesterday from the people in charge of Old Main Street's 2nd annual Battle of the Teenage Garage Bands telling him that the the CatAtoNiX made it. As in, we can play at it. It will be Friday, June 4th at 5:00PM on Old Main Street in Downtown Bradenton. There will be a lot of local bands performing that evening. Some of which include: the CatAtoNiX, New Breed, Broken Image, and ...Found. It will be FREE. So come and support your local bands. And don't forget to come to our show with The In-Crowd, Wisenheimer, The Incoming Tide, Suspense Thriller, and S.U.B on Sunday, May 30th at Rockerfella's (5520 14th St. W. Bradenton, FL 34207) at 5:30PM. The entry fee will be between $5 and $10. Thanks.
-Sean
5/24/04- We played a show at Mariah Callahan's house on Saturday night for her and Sam Harris's birthday. Thanks to everyone who came to the party and happy birthday to Mariah and Sam. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Callahan for letting everyone over at their house and for letting us play. The show was fun as hell! We all agreed that this was the most fun show we have ever played together. We played really good and had a great time. I wish we could have invited people but it was a private show. Sorry. Well our next show is May 30th at Rockerfella's (5520 14th St. W. Bradenton, FL 34207) and it's all ages. Doors open at 6PM and we hope to see all of our fans there. If you're not a fan then you should definitely still come to see some great bands such as The In-Crowd, Wisenheimer, maybe Suspense Thriller, and The Incoming Tide. It will be $6 but bring more just in case...they always manage to find a way to change the price right before the show. It will definitely be worth the money. Contact any of us if you need more information or directions. Just look at the shows/contact page. And to answer someone's question in the questbook...we do not plan on finding another guitarist and Mike can play some of the solos that Dustin played. We are in the process of writing a few new songs. Hopefully we will have one done before the Rockerfella's show. Thanks for all the support and stay posted for more news, shows, lyrics, etc.
-Sean
5/19/04- Keep the hate mail coming guys, it's really funny!!!
love, Mike Tokars
5/18/04- Dustin isn't in the band anymore. For now we aren't planning on replacing him, we will continue as a 3-piece.
-Mike
5/8/04- Here's a crazy odd story for you all. Last night Mike, Matt, Dusty, and I went to the PSBB monthly show to hang out and see some bands and when we got there we were confronted by a few people who said that we had to play. Of course I didn't feel like playing because 1.)I was really tired from skating all day. 2.)I only wanted to hang out with people and watch. 3.)We hadn't even played together since the show at David's 2 weeks back. and 4.)We had none of our equipment so we had to use stuff of the other bands. Thanks to New Breed and Achilles for letting us use their equipment. So we ended up playing 10 minutes after we got there. Sorry for not posting this show but we seriously had no idea that we would play. Well, during the show I had to use a 5 string bass which means that I would have to pretend like the top string wasn't there because I only play a 4 string bass. It was my first time with a 5 string. Also my cord was quite short so every time I took a step to my right it came unplugged. It was funny. But everyone had a good time and I ended up having a good time even though I wasn't in the mood to play. Thanks to everyone who showed up last night. We all appreciate it. Anyway, I made a shows chart on the shows page and added some new shows to it. Also, we will be recording our demo today. It will have 4 or 5 songs on it. Hopefully it's in good quality so we can sell it to you all. Don't worry...it won't be expensive at all. Matt's birthday was on Tuesday so he's 14 now. Once again thanks for the support and if you like skateboarding then visit my skate site at www.freewebs.com/floridasyouth/. Thanks.
-Sean
5/5/04- Sorry I haven't updated the site in a while but I finally posted 10 pictures from the show on 4/25/04 at David O'Connor's house. Sorry for the wait. So go check out the pics on the pictures page. We will be recording a demo this Saturday to give to the people who are hosting the battle of the bands that will be held downtown on June 4, 2004. I'm not sure if that show will be certain and I'm not sure what time it starts but I will be sure to post any further news on the site as soon as I find out more. Also, if the demo sounds good then we might be giving those away or selling them for really cheap. Everybody should go to Palma Sola Bay Baptist Church this Friday, May 7, 2004 for another monthly show. The CatAtoNiX will not be playing but come and support other local bands. Thanks. Check out this site of our friends...White Ave. Stay posted for more info on shows and the recording.

4/27/04- The show on sunday at David's was awesome. The lineup ended up being us, Sean (the former guitarist of DBM who played an acoustic set), and then David's Bar Mitzvah. We had just completed the sound check outside in David's backyard and then Mike, Dustin, Matt, and I drove up to 711 and on our way out we saw a cop walking up to the door of David's house. When we got back they told us that the cop told them that we could play but we had to stay inside the house. So we moved all the equipment into his small living room and had the show there. We were a little jammed but it wasn't too bad. Everybody did a great job and hopefully we can play a show with DBM again some time soon. Well, thanks to Mike's brother Rick who filmed us, we will post a few pics from the show on the site pretty soon. Check back soon. Mike just recently posted lyrics to our new song, Bored Generation on the lyrics page so go check them out. Thanks for the support and thanks to everyone who came to the show on Sunday.
-Sean

4/20/04- WE ARE HAVING A SHOW ON SUNDAY, APRIL 25TH. The lineup is New Breed, the CatAtoNiX, DBM(david's bar mitzvah), and maybe ...found. The show will be later in the day. It will take place at David O'Connor's house (drummer for DBM). The address is 3308 17th Ave. W (off of 34th St. close to Manatee High School). 4/13/04- Sean is done with his skate video so anyone who is interested in purchasing it for $5 on VHS please email Sean at ckysk8r@tampabay.rr.com or you can visit his skate site... www.freewebs.com/floridasyouth/ for more info. Thanks a lot. Anyway, back to the CatAtoNiX, the band wrote a new song on Saturday that Mike has just recently written the lyrics to. The song is called "Born to Lose" and the lyrics are now posted on the lyrics page. So go check out the new song. On Saturday the band also wrote the song "You're Screwed" which was Sean's first song he has ever written. Sean does lead vocals for this song. The lyrics are on the lyrics page. So go check out that song too. New stuff was added to Mike's bio today.

4/7/04- This doesn't have much to do with the band but Sean has been working on his skate video at school for a while now and he is just about to finish it, most likely sometime next week. It is about 45 minutes long and it includes parts for Sean Lewis, Eric Whitley, Justin Sperry, and Parker Rusin. It has a skateparks section, a friends section, and a falls section. The end the video includes a lot of random bonus skating/messing around. There are at least 10 songs in the video from bands such as The Unseen, Anti-Flag, The Misfits, Piss Drunx, The Adicts, The Toadies, AFI, and a few more. If you are interested in purchasing the Florida's Youth Left of Nowhere VHS tape for $5 or computer CD for $4 or just want to be nice to Sean and buy it anyway then please see more information on Sean's skate site... www.freewebs.com/floridasyouth/ or you can e-mail him ckysk8r@tampabay.rr.com or even leave a message in the CatAtoNiX's guestbook. Thanks for your support. Skate or die and always support local music!!!

4/6/04- Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain, it was a sad day for me and all of the NIRVANA fans in the world. Kurt Cobain and NIRVANA changed the world, so the next time you here a punk song, an emo song, a metal song, or any sort of aggressive rock and roll song on the radio or MTV, remember that you can thank Kurt Cobain for that privilege. There will never be another Kurt Cobain.

4/4/04- Mike and I got together last night and wrote a new song called Next Time You're Alone so you should expect lyrics to it on the lyrics page pretty soon. Also, I just added a new link to the links area type deal for a local band called New Breed. Just scroll down to the very bottom of this page and you shall see it. Andrew Royals, KC Newell, Jesse Woodson, and Josh Callahan are in the band. They rock so check out their site. Thanks.

4/3/04- The pictures from last night's show have been posted on the pictures page. This time I used links for the pictures so you can just click the links and the pictures will pop up. But I'm not sure if it will work for everyone's computer so if you have any problems viewing the pictures then please either send me an email or sign the guestbook so I can change the way the pictures show up on that page. Come back soon for more news about upcoming shows. Thanks to everyone who came out to the show last night. We really appreciate it.

4/2/04- Tonight we had our show at Palma Sola Bay Baptist Church. We ended up playing third as planned. There were much more people than there were at the first V.S. Junkies show. Every band played really good. ...Found had their first show tonight and did swell if I may say so myself. We played all 5 of our songs pretty much perfectly and a number of people seemed to enjoy us so that's all that really matters to us. Thanks to Jesse Woodson (bassist of A New Breed) for using my camera to film us playing tonight. I will make a few stills of the footage soon and there will be some new pics from the show on the pictures page tomorrow. We should be playing a couple shows pretty soon. We are trying to get into the St. Stephens Battle of the Bands which is sometime in mid/late April and then we are definitely going to play at the Manatee High Battle of the Bands set up by Mam'selles on May 8. We will have more info on these shows in the next week or two. So just check back later. Hopefully we will have a new demo out soon too. More info will be posted later.

4/1/04- Today at school I saw another flyer going around that said that another band is playing. They are called Not Only Heard. So now we have five bands playing.

3/31/04- We have all the definite info for the show on April 2nd on the shows page, so check it out. ...Found will be playing (formerly called Follow the Crowd). Rock on!!!

3/30/04- Today at school Mike called the dude at the place and he found out that we will definitely be playin with Broken Image and Eversfield. The guy didn't say anything about Follow the Crowd playing so either they aren't playing or the guy just doesn't know if they are. But, Broken Image will be the first band playing at 9:30 and then Eversfield will be playing after them. The CatAtoNiX(which is our band if you didn't figure that out yet) will be the third band right after Eversfield. We may be the last band unless Follow the Crowd ends up playing. It will be free. $.50 soda and pizza and other cheap snacks. The show usually ends at about 12:00. Flyers will be out soon. So come and see us play and check out the other bands.

3/29/04- We havn't talked to the guy we need to about the show yet but I heard that we will be playing with Follow the Crowd. I've never heard them but everyone should come out and see them too. We should have flyers made as soon as we find out all of the information. We should know by tomorrow everything about the show. So either you can get a flyer somehow, you can check back to the site soon to see all of the info and probably a picture of the flyer, or you can call one of us in a day or two to ask us about the show. Contact info is listed on the shows page. Oh yeah, and don't worry, these shows are usually free and there is normally pizza for $.50, sodas for $.50, and there are other types of food for cheap too. Anyway, we have some new pictures posted on the pictures page and some new pictures on the bios page. Check them out.

3/22/04- For a couple of reasons the band has decided to drop John Palmer as the drummer and pick up Matt Sconberg. We are sorry if some of you don't agree with this decision but we have decided that this is the best for the band. On a lighter note, the CatAtoNiX still have a show scheduled for Friday, April 2nd at 9:30 or 10 PM at the Base Camp Cafe at Palma Sola Bay Baptist. So do us and yourselves a favor and make plans April 2nd to come and watch us and 2 or 3 other bands play at PSBB. We are not quite sure at the moment of the exact time that we will be playing or what bands we are playing with. But, we can promise that as soon as we find out anything about the show we will post it all on the site.

3/17/04- Unfortunately, when A New Breed came to John's house last weekend we were having trouble with Mike's recording device so we were only able to record 2 out of 5 of their songs. The quality of the songs wasn't as good as we had expected. Because of the technical difficulties Andrew(lead singer of A New Breed) has decided to record their songs somewhere else. However, we may still get the tracks from them and make the split cd. But there is a possibility that the split cd will not be happening. No matter what, the CatAtoNiX are going to make another demo most likely with the songs found on the lyrics page. Check back for more news later on.
-Sean
3/8/04- The CatAtoNiX are going to be recording a split CD with A New Breed, titled "Get Bleached!" on BLEACHED! Records. The CD is due out in late March or April. The guys have just written a new song called "My CrucifiXation," and new lyrics have been written to "Ugly Jared". Check the lyrics page for the new songs.
