| "Dexter" from Showtime Now Casting Major Roles for Next Season
"Dexter", the hit show from Showtime, is now casting major ongoing roles for the premiere episode of next season.
From the producer of "The O.C.", this drama is about a charismatic serial killer who operates by a strict moral code and works for the police department as a forensics expert in order to keep up the appearance of a normal life.
The premiere episode for next season is called "Living the Dream", and it has several roles open that will continue throughout the season.
"Dexter" stars Michael C. Hall and Julie Benz. It is being written by Jeff Lindsay and James Manos Jr., and directed by Marcos Siega and Keith Gordon.
The show is produced by Melissa Rosenberg, Clyde Phillips, Daniel Cerone, and John Goldwyn for Clyde Phillips Productions and Showtime Networks.
ROLES AVAILABLE:
FEMALES Lisa Bell, any ethnicity, 20s. Lisa is a young and very attractive woman who currently
works at an upscale restaurant in the Miami area. She is very proud that she recently
received a promotion to become the assistant chef at the restaurant and she is
working her way up. Yet Lisa is also emotionally fragile and prone to dramatic moments.
The actress for this part should have considerable emotional range. SERIES REGULAR
Christine Halvorson, any ethnicity, 20s - 30s. This pretty and highly-educated woman is a
respected newspaper reporter at a Miami newspaper. Christine is very ambitious and also has
had many different romantic relationships with men. SERIES REGULAR
Public Defender, any ethnicity, Mid 30s - 40s. This intelligent and fearless female attorney is currently
defending an alleged murderer in court. This woman is a very skilled lawyer and is determined to protect
her client from serving time in prison.
Susannah Coffey, any ethnicity, 50s - 60s. Susannah is a pretty suburban woman who has
struggled with a bit of a drinking problem. She is financially secure but not particularly
wealthy. Susannah was once seen as very beautiful when she was younger, but the years
have eroded her appearance. She is a well-meaning and friendly woman who has occasionally
gotten into trouble in the past.
MALES Elliot, Caucasian, 20s - 30s. Elliot is a handsome and personable suburban family man. He has two kids of his own.
He is financially successful and appears to have everything he needs in life. Elliot also happens to be the next door
neighbor of Dexter. SERIES REGULAR.
Benito Gomez, Latino or African-American, 20s - 30s. Benito is a confrontational and angry man who has a history of
starting fights at the drop of a hat. He carries grudges around from long ago, and he has a constant
scowling expression that reflects his built-up rage from the past. SERIES REGULAR
Loomis, any ethnicity, 40s. Detective Loomis is a meticulous and self-confident investigator who works
for the robbery division of the Miami Metro Police. He has been around the block in his career
and really knows what he's doing.
Barista, any ethnicity, 20s. This barista is making an espresso at an outdoor
coffee stand.
Cop, any ethnicity, 50s. This is a typical Patrol Cop who is employed by the Miami Metro Police.
