Anne Sinar
I am the oldest member of the Castleview team, and I
have also worked here the longest, in fact since
1987 when the practice was a portable building on
Belle Vue Road, and was known as Springfield House
Veterinary Clinic..
I have worked in various veterinary practices since
leaving school, in pretty much every capacity. As
general dogsbody at sixteen when I did everything
from answering the phone, typing monthly accounts to
helping with yearly TB testing of our client’s
cattle herds. Later on nurse, then senior nurse,
receptionist, and later still administrator, and now
practice manager.
A practice manager’s job is varied, hectic and
sometimes stressful but never boring. The down side
is that I am usually tucked away in the office and
miss the direct contact with our clients; although I
am available should anyone have a problem, complaint
or idea that can’t be dealt with by the
receptionists.
A number of years ago I was lucky enough to have the
opportunity to work for a month in a Canadian small
animal hospital. A thoroughly enjoyable experience
in a beautiful country.
When I am not at work my interests revolve around
our little driving pony, Oliver and our two dogs,
Sox and Sparky. We also keep a few hens, and a
number of pigeons which evolved originally from
injured ones taken home from Castleview to recover.
Diane Hanson
I joined the Reception team in April 1999. My role
then was to cover the evening shift and Saturday
mornings whilst still at college doing a course in
Business studies.
Over the time my hours have increased until now I am
Head Receptionist working Full time. I am
responsible for a team of receptionists.
My role is varied and interesting the best part
being able to interact with the animals.
I have a personal interest in obedience training and
behaviour – I attend regular training sessions with
my dogs.
I also have a variety of other animals including
three cats, rabbits and guinea pigs.
Lee Trenam
I have worked at Castleview vets as a receptionist
since Feb 2007. Before this I worked as a sales
assistant in a sports shop while studying Animal
Management at Park Lane College at Horseforth. Here
at Castleview I deal with all the insurance claims
as well as being the practice fire warden. I need to
check the building on a regular basis to check for
any hazards and to check everything is in working
order.
I have a dog called Keira, a female cross breed who
came from the Dogs Trust in Leeds, she was abandoned
with her mum & littermates when she was 7 weeks old.
I have a big interest in cars and motor sport.
