Carol you did an amazing thing yourself. Many of my friends at Weight Watchers have been motivated by serious illnesses. You have worked so hard to get where you are, I know you can keep it up.

Gail - love your website. I can really relate to you with the dogs. We have a JRT/Border Collie mix and unfortunately she has the worse traits of both. Reading about Penny's fear aggression and attack mode was like reading about Zoe. Lucy sounds very much like our Golden, Spencer. He has taken many attacks from Zoe. At first he wouldn't fight back but now he does and it is very scary. We have also added another dog to the mix, our son's German Shepherd. He seems to be the Alpha dog and can keep Zoe in line most of the time. We have discovered recently that canned air (the kind to clean electronics) sprayed when Zoe goes into attack mode can usually stop her. We have these cans all over the house now. Like you, we have tried all kinds of training with her but this seems to be a trait that we will have to learn to live with and segregate her when necessary. It's very sad because other than that she is very good. She is probably the most obedient of the three and would be great at agility as long as she was the only dog there.
Thanks for sharing your story.

I am so sorry for you that you have these issues too. But it is nice to know we are not the only ones. Thank you for reading and sharing.

Hi Gail, What an awesome feat! I know how hard it is to stay the course when it comes to diet and exercise! I found out I had diabetes last summer and it scared me into losing 140 lbs. Now I am just trying to keep it off.......It is sooooo hard!!! A never ending struggle for sure! Congratulations on your awesome determination!!!! Hope I can keep it up as well!!! You are an inspiration!!!
