Dear all
As Honorary President of the CHB DX Group, it is a great pleasure to have the opportunity of saying Hello to our International Members once again. I have Known many of you since the group first began in 1983, but I am also delighted to welcome our newer members who have only joined the group recently.
Being a founder member of "Castle Hill Breakers" which began back in 1981 as a local
A.H. club, it has been interesting to monitor the progression of the group over the years. We now have 220 members in 56 countries worldwide, which I consider a great achievement. I am particularly pleased to have spoken to many of you myself, and of course to have met some of you in person. The CHB DX Group is unique in the fact
that it is the only DX Group in the world which asks nothing from you other than
your friendship on the radio.
In recent months with the excellent DX conditions the group is continuing to thrive,
and it has been nice to hear many of our "old" members back on 26.845 mhz., together with friends new to the Group. Hopefully conditions will continue at their present level well into 1990 and beyond, and we will be able to contact you all on 26.845mhz.USB.
i willl certainly be listening out for the CHB members, so please remember to give us
a call on the monitor frequency. There is always someone, somewhere in the world listening!
73's and 51's REGARDS TO YOU ALL

CHB MONITOR FEQ 26.845.USB (29 LOW BAND)
As you can see by the roster the group is doing well, a few new members have joined us since the last roster (Jan. 89) and also a few more local members have joined us.
The standby frequency (26.845 USB) has been a little quiet of late, but there are many members who are using the monitor frequency on a regular basis, this does encourage our local UK members to monitor, and use 26.845 USB if our international members/friends call on it!
We had a general meeting in January to vote in a new committee, we like to do this annually to encourage new' ideas and promote interest in the group both locally
and internationally. As you can see I have been asked to continue as chairman as I did in 1989, Steve CHB 34 is now our Dx Secretary who I am sure many of you will have had the pleasure l ta1Jd.Rg to on the radio, also _e CHB 21 is now Vice Chairman, and I know lee has, and will be an asset to the group. There is a lot of time and work goes into running things locally, to fund the group, and producing the rosters, magazines, etc. etc.. The local magazine which Derek (CHB 29) is now producing/editing is still doing well (thanks to Derek) if you have any information or anything you would like to be put into the local magazine, (copies can be forwarded) please send it to, or contact Derek CHB29 at the above A.D., I know it would be very welcomed.
Please try and keep in touch with us in Hull, one way or another, we do like
to know how our friends throughout the world are. (It also makes it all worthwhile!)
We hope this roster will be useful to you over the next year (1990) and we look forward to hearing from you soon on the radio, (26.845 USB) if not please keep in touch, our A.D. is in the roster above.
