The Staffordshire Bull Terrier has been in existence since the 17th Century. The breeders of the time it seems tried several crosses in an effort to try and create a dog that best suited their particular interests. It's no secret that the Stafford was bred for use in the not so pleasent sporting or entertainment activites of those times. Today however the Stafford is here for only two reasons.
