Castle Rock

This site was created by my friend and I. We are both Lord of the Flies fanatics, and I, personally, think it's the best book ever written. On this site, my friend shall be known as Sam, after one half of Samneric from Lord of the Flies, and I shall be known as Kitty. My friend can also be known as Ralph, even though she is not a boy, and I can also be called Jack (I am a girl as well). The reason for this is that we were getting crazy after watching the movie yesterday by acting out the castle rock scene (this is partly why this site is called Castle Rock), with me as Jack and her as Ralph and a broom handle as a spear. It is serious fun. Try it one day.

This site shall contain both our fanfic (I am an ardent fanfiction writer, and Sam and I enjoy writing parodies), a photo gallery (Sam is against putting any pictures of Jack up owing to a deep and unreasoning prejudice), several videos we found on YouTube (after sifting through countless school projects), et cetera, et cetera. This is our winter holiday project, and we hope that it will be enjoyed.

Anyway. I can't really think of any more to say, and I think I've pretty much laid the basis for the site, so I'll sign off now.

We've now added an album, in which you'd probably have to guess who typed what captions based on which character is being favoured, a guestbook and a paged called "Random", where Kitty and I argue over which LOTF characters we think are the best. In case anyone is wondering which characters Kitty and I prefer, here are our preferences (in only a partially particular order):

Sam likes: Simon, Roger, Samneric

Kitty likes: Jack, Ralph

Remember, those are just our top favourites, so I do like Ralph and Kitty does like Simon but they aren't UP THERE. As you can see, we have different preferences so we tend to argue a lot. Friendly arguing, though.

Ok, Kitty here... I have a question. What was Ralph writing in the sand in one scene? I bet everyone who has watched the 1963 version has wondered. He takes great care to write upside down so that the person watching can see the letters. I can only identify a capital A. But I think he was writing initials or some such thing, because after he writes the letters he puts dots between them with his sharp twig.

The mystery continues.

YAY it's Sam's birthday today!!! Sam, just want to say a big THANK YOU for inviting me over to your house, where we made such GREAT LOTF-inspired door hangers... *snigger* and freaked out the littluns. I seriously believe we traumatized them to such a great extent that they never will be the same again. Hmmm. Do you think we have spawned future LOTF freaks? I hope so.

 Another Roger! This is right at the beginning. I was always unsure whether it really WAS Roger. But I searched on Yahoo and it was roger.jpg so I guess it is...

NO!!! KITTY, NOW THAT YOUR PHONE HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY OUR SOLE MEANS OF COMMUNICATION HAS BEEN DESTROYED!!! Kind of, though this website is another option. But we can't always rely on it since we don't know how often we'll be on the computer. Oh, I'm really sorry if it's my fault, I know I've kind of been messaging you a lot these days. Now we won't be able to message each other for one week, which is about 1/9 of our holiday.
