A belly cast is a great way to remember the child-bearing months and
can become a beautiful addition to ANY nursery!
It is the new "thing".
As I say: "Out with bronzing the booties and in with casting the belly!"
I have done many casts
since 2003, including my own.
This is %100 safe
for you and baby, because the supplies used are hospital grade materials.
Here is a little info on the process...
This would take place in my home, unless you are not able to
travel, (eg. bed rest, etc.), I can come to yours. You will need to set aside about 2hrs of time for me, (to include preparation and clean up), if in your home; or 45 min to 1hr in my home.
The expectant mother will be unclothed from waste up,
wearing a "non-important" bra if she chooses. Also be sure to wear "non-important" pants or a towel
because this can
become somewhat messy.
You could also wear a tank top if this would be more comfortable for you.
I will then wrap her up with plastic wrap to prevent the casting
materials from sticking to the skin. The cast will then be
applied and allowed time to "set", which may take
approximately 20 min.
After the casting process I will clean up.
OPTION A: We can leave the Belly Cast as plain for you to leave as is,
for you to decorate as you please, OR...
OPTION B: I can paint a design or picture on the cast for you for an
extra fee: depending on the complexity and time involved. This could
take up to a full week.
