Keyscript Shorthand

Welcome to Keyscript Shorthand.  On this site you will find out all about this new speedy shorthand.  Just click the pages at the top.

My name is Janet Cheeseman.  I am a qualified Pitman Shorthand teacher.  I have created a shorthand system that, though based on Pitman, uses only the lower case letters of the alphabet.  It is called Keyscript Shorthand.

Keyscript saves on average 60% in writing time over longhand.  In other words, it can be written 2½ times as fast as longhand.  It may be handwritten or typed.

Keyscript is quicker to learn than Pitman because there are no signs or symbols.

Keyscript can also be used to speed up ordinary typing, using the AutoCorrect© function in Microsoft© Word, but without the need to memorise numerous abbreviations.

The correspondence course book for Keyscript is called the 'Lightning Guide to Keyscript'.  The theory is in 9 stages, and there are exercises for each stage.  There is a hidden quotation in the exercises, which is totally revealed only near the end of the course.

The 'Lightning Guide' contains the answers to all exercises.  It also has a speed chart which enables the dictation of any passage in the exercises at any speed from 20 to 150 words per minute.

At the back of the book there is a list of common words and phrases in Keyscript that can be fed into the AutoCorrect
© function to increase typing speed.

You can email me at any time during the course, and I will help with any questions you may have.

The cost of the course has been reduced to $110 (Australian), with airmail postage included.  PAYPAL is available.  It is linked to my email address, not to this website.

We may be in a global recession, but by the time you finish the 'Lightning Guide to Keyscript' we may be out of it, and you will have a skill that will last for the rest of your life, both your personal and professional life.  So take advantage of this offer now.
