If you are new to the internet, then these concepts might be strange to you, but after a while if you are into marketing and business opportunities you will find them very valuable tools if used properly.
Safelists are used for promoting ads that are usually prewritten by the owners of the sites or copy writers who work for them and you can copy and paste these ads into the safelist and send them out to sometimes hundreds of people with one click.
There are probably thousands of safelists available for you to use and some are free while others may offer free, pro, or higher price lists. I've found some really good responsive lists for sending out my ads that were free, but I also have a few paid ones as well.
The main difference in free and paid is the number of times per day you can send the ads out and the number of people you can send them to. Also with a paid list you usually don't have to wait as long or type in a number when you log in. And if you use a free list, you usually have to have several to make up for the low number of people you can send to as well as the number of times per day. You really need to be able to get your ad out several times a day to have enough response and signups to qualify you for commissions. Also you can usually be paid a certain amount for promoting the list to others too.
Some people make quite a bit of money just promoting safelists. But one thing I would advise when signing up for a safelist is that you have a different e-mail address besides your regular one for the list mail and that you set up a filter to catch the mail and delete it later.
I'm not saying this so you can just ignore it, because there is a good reason or two for reading your list mail. But having it delete automatically will save you from losing your account when it starts bouncing from being overfull.
Here's what I do. I set up a filter that says, "If body contains A move to trash" This way anything with the letter a in the body of the e-mail, (pretty much covers it all huh?) goes to trash, and you can still go there and read it, but it will be deleted after a few days and won't keep your inbox full.
The reason you don't want to delete it immediately is for one reason, some people do give their email address in the lists mail, and you can also visit their site and compare notes with them. Ask them if they're happy and making enough money with their current program. Get a good banter going back and forth and win a good friend if nothing else, but don't start right off the bat bouncing back ads at them. That's rude, and not only that, you're doing something that you wouldn't want done to you and the golden rule applies here just like everywhere else. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Be courtious and friendly and it will take you far. Also its a good way to build yourself a contact list of your own. Like my mom always said, you can catch more bees with honey than you can with a net!
Search engines are the little blanks you use to search for things on the internet, but if you have a website you can put tags in your html codes, in the header section called keywords or meta tags that will maximize the potential for people to find your page when they're searching for a particular catagory.
For instance, if you are selling health products or vitamins, you'd place keywords for the search that would include health products, vitamins, health and wellness, weight loss, smoking cessation, etc... and you seperate each key word or key phrase with a comma. The major search engines such as yahoo, google, and excite for example, use little "robots" called spiders that when you enter the right meta tags for the searches, will find your site easily once you've submitted it to the search engines. You can also place bids for certain keywords and get a higher rating.
This is really outside my area of expertise, but you can visit some of these sites and read more about it from the pros.
Surfing programs, sometimes called traffic exchanges are another way to get your site seen. You can find them either in automatic format so that you can just put in the web address of your site, (or url) and then just click on a link and start surfing and view other sites one after the other in your browser. At the same time as you are viewing someone else's site, someone else is viewing yours. If they like what they see they may sign up for your program. Also there are manual ones that you must click to go to the next site. Some people swear up and down that these are the best, but I think they're just old fashioned. I'm a modern type of gal and love the new things we find nowdays.
But like I always say, different strokes for different folks.
Now here's the little tip I was telling you about earlier.
If you want to maximize the hits to your site with traffic exchanges, you need to download a browser that allows you to open several pages at a time, like Crazy Browser for instance. You can get this at http://www.CrazyBrowser.com
What you do here is after you set up your browser, you search for several different autosurfs. I've found some really good ones while autosurfing on just one. I use traffic flare and several others. Start with just one. Just type the surfing url in the address bar of the browser and then just surf for a while and you'll find more good ones to sign up for. As you get each new one, and you've verified and put in your home page url, just click on groups and save each one into a group. Just name it autosurfs. Then when you open your browser, you can just click on groups and autosurfs and open them all at once. This also works with your safelists or your web pages you've created or anything else you'd like to save as a group. That way you're not constantly looking through your files trying to find this page or that. They're all right there under your group button.
As you learn your way around the browser buttons you'll find that you can stop popups, allow popups, and do all sorts of things that make your surfing a lot faster and easier. Just read the read me file that comes with your software and you'll see what I'm telling you.
If you like click exchanges better, here's another cool trick. Just set them up as a group and click one then the other as the tabs load. It's almost like playing a bingo game with several cards. It takes practice but you can really get fast with it.
I sincerely hope that something here has helped you, and I have a few more tricks up my sleeve. So if you like what you see here, and want more, just drop me a line and tell me. We might be able to share something that will help us both make money. We all need money and there isn't a thing wrong with that.
So if this helped you, I can always use some encouragement too, and I'll return it by giving you something really good.
PS..Don't forget to check out the sidebar. I think you'll find that these programs are well worth your time!
Here's to your success!
Have a great day!
