Hi, welcome to my webpage, Casey's Crochet. I am twelve years old and love to
play with yarn. I first picked up the crochet hook when I was five, and have been crocheting ever since.
One day, I was sitting with my family and I asked if I could have my own webpage to help encourage other kids my age to get interested in crochet. My parents thought about it, and decided it would be a good idea. I started Caseys Crochet when I was seven.
I have won many Blue Ribbons for my crocheting including two Best of Show ribbons. One of the items I won Best of Show for, my Communion Rosary, had so many requests for the pattern, that with my Mom's help I had it published as a PDF pattern. It is available for purchase through my WebStore, or through my Mom's. My most recent Blue Ribbons are for the Doll Hat I designed using Jelly Yarn (pictured on the right), along with (not pictured) a doll backpack, and a tie I designed for my Dad.
I started learning how to knit when I was nine, and have thus far won a Red Ribbon (2nd Place) for a scarf I created. I am interested in learning how to loom weave.
My favorite thing I like about crochet is that you can create all kinds of stuff with it. If you can think it, you make it. I also like to make things for my family and friends. Two years ago, when I was ten, I was asked to crochet a wreath for my school's Christmas tree. Sometimes I teach my friends how to crochet during school recess; they like it too.
I hope you like my webpage and visit with me often.
♥ Hooked,
Casey
