Cambridgeshire Autism Facts
Within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust area there are approximately:
1500 Children and 6000 Adults with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder [1]; of these adults, about
5000 (85%) are unemployed
3800 (63%) are unsupported by the health and social care services
2000 (33%) have serious mental health problems
500 (8%) have felt suicidal or attempted suicide
3300 (56%) have been bullied or harassed [2][3]
