CLASS 217a     RED OR CREAM POINT BIRMAN IMPERIAL OR GRAND CHAMPION, MALE   UKGCC, DAVIES’ GR CH CARRISMOON JACKFLASH, 13c5, RED POINT, 23.04.08

What a handsome fellow, though he has learnt some choice language, which he insisted on sharing with both my team and with his audience!  Excellent Birman type and balance, with super deep blue eye colour, lovely ears for size and set, full cheeks that taper gently to a firm chin.  His bite certainly looked level as he showed us his gleaming white pearlies!  Excellent weight and substance, thick set limbs and bushy tail.  His feet markings are very neat, sparkling white.  Beautifully groomed soft creamy coat showing contrast with red points.  Very unhappy and tense whilst being handled, nevertheless he still allowed us the pleasure of admiring him and his quality, which I was relieved about as I would have hated to have had to withhold on such a splendid example of the breed because of his temperament, which I sincerely hope was a one-off in the unusual circumstances of the Supreme environment.  Had it not been for his incessant “backchat” and potentially incendiary temperament, he would have been a strong contender for the best of breed award today, but as I explained to the audience, I did feel that by then discretion was the better part of valour and I suspect he was far happier left to daydream in his pen for the rest of the day, may be with the promise of some prawns for tea?

GCC Davies Ch Carrismoon Jackflash 13c5
23/4/08. Very mature handsome lad of very good Birman type. Nice broad head with strong rounded skull. Correct medium length to nose, with slight dip to profile. Nice full rounded cheeks, very good depth to chin, good level bite. Medium ears set well apart. Very good eye shape and of a nice blue colour, showing a pleasing gentle expression. Very pleasing rich even red colouring to ears, mask, legs and on medium length fully bushy tail. Excellent boning and substance to this lad who had a very pleasing muscular feel and look to his sturdy body, so vital in stud cats, set on firm medium length legs with short strong paws. Nice clean white full gloves with almost matching back socks, super full even length gauntlets. Excellent grooming and presentation to this lad who had a very good coat which was soft and silky with a most attractive golden hue thought the coat which gave a most pleasant contrast to his rich red points colouring.  This lad was in excellent show condition, beautifully presented and handled well. A worthy winner today and a pleasure to handle and judge, I understand this is this lad’s second Grand, well done.
