Carrie's Music Studio

Congratulations on your decision to learn a new musical instrument!  Carrie’s Music Studio has been in operation since 1998.  I have 23 years of playing experience and truly love music – playing and teaching!  I accept students ages 3 – 103 who are enthusiastic and committed to learning.  The ideal beginner is between 3 and 5 years of age, but a person can begin learning to play at any age!!

A little about me...

Let me start off by saying that I truly believe my musical talent and love of music is a gift from God.  And I believe it is my responsibility to use that talent to pass on my love of music to others and to use it to glorify God.

          I started taking Piano lessons from a wonderful teacher when I was 8 years old.  I remember my first lesson like it was yesterday!  Music has always been such an important part of my life.

          I started taking Clarinet lessons when I was 12, and I taught myself to play the flute when I was 17, my junior year in high school.

I then went on to study all 3 instruments in college, where I majored in Music Education.

          I have, in the past, occasionally accompanied my church choir, and also played the Flute and Clarinet as an addition to the music during church services.

I am currently a member of the local, state, and national Music Teachers' Associations. 

          I enjoy working with music students of all ages, at all levels.
