DADA Award Shortlisted!

I have been shortlisted for an award at this years DADA (Disabled and Deaf Arts) award ceremony.  I was nominated for the 'newcomer' award and was told this week that I have made it to the last 4 artists.  The award ceremony is held on the 3rd December at Liverpool.

Disabled people needed for 'Disability Portraits'

I am still developing the Digital Portraits of Disability.

Each portrait explores an individual's experience of their disability or health condition. It looks at the effects of the condition on their hopes and fears, how it affects their experience of the world around them, and also looks at the positives of living with a disability.

The aim of the project is to give people a very honest and raw exploration of disability.  The aim in particular is to show how disability is experienced differently by each individual person and to show the wider public that living with a disability isn't as stereotypical as portrayed by TV and other media.

If you would like to take part in this project you simply need to allow me to to create a unique portrait of you based on few questions.  You also need to send me a couple of photos of yourself that I can use as the base image.

If you would like to take part simply contact me here.  Please say in the message that you want to take part in the project.

See portraits from the project here.
