Saturday 12th May 2007.

Members and their Ladies had the honour of being able to present their second Charitable donation of 2007 to the Northern Ireland Childrens Hospice in the Mayors Parlour, Carrickfergus Town Hall.

A Cheque of £1000 was presented by Chairman William Rodgers to Sharon Gorman of the Charity, this takes the total raised this year so far to £1600. Thanks were afforded to the Members from Sharon on behalf of the Childrens Hospice and also Mayor David Hilditch who praised Members for all their fundraising efforts.

In light of his generous friendship to our club, a small Rangers FC Tankard was presented to the Mayor, on its reverse was inscribed " With sincere thanks to Alderman David Hilditch from all his friends at the Red Hand & Thistle RSC"
